Regarding sound improvements, upgrades are more attributable to the re-cabling than the wooden enclosures. Wooden air chamber will decrease distortion, accentuated bass response and warm harmonic tone.
hey does the wood mod do anything besides look cool?
o btw zebra wood is sexy, along with curly maple, and this other wood i can not remember.
if it is just looks, an inlay would look sick.

Shure e2c. Use them mainly for live performances with my band Dismissed (http://www.dismissedband.com), but they work amazingly well with my iPhone. Love 'em!

Texas, unfortunately.
This is, what I think is a Maxell HP 550. They were $20, but they're the best headphones I've ever owned.

Which isn't saying much, considering all I've ever had are the stock iPod earbuds. Still, they're not bad at all.

WTF?! I demand you remove that picture from this post as well as whatever online account you're using to host it. As shown on post 85 of this thread and the fact I took that photograph over a year and a half ago, that is my photo. the least you could have done was state the photograph was not your own and credit me.

Please remove it immediately and do not use it in the future.

Sennheiser CX 500's. Absolutely amazing sound and noise blockage for a very small package. I'm in love with them.

Today in Best Buy, I tried on some of the Bose, Around Ear Headphones, and they sounded amazing, and they were $112. I've never owned a good pair of headphones, So Im wondering, Is there any obvious product that is better than this set of Bose, for a cheaper price?

Emm yeah... Bose around-ear tri-ports are hideous sounding, get yourself some Sennheisers, Audio-Technica's or practically any other brand out there, as they will outperforms the Bose's on both sound and price. Do not, I repeat DO NOT get tricked by their marketing schemes, they're not bad sounding but they are not worth their price tag. I got tricked into this, bought the QC2's and eventhoung they are better than many other noise canceling headphones (Like the JVCs or the Sony's) they are easily outperformed by MUCH less expensive rivals from Audio-Technica (AN7) or Sennheiser (all of their "traveling line"). Do yourself a favor and do not buy Bose. ;)

ah, very nice. I've got a pair of SR225's as well and actually preferred them to the RS-2's, they just sounded more fun.

Larry at Headphile does a great job, he woodied my DT770s a couple of years ago and they were beautiful.

Yup, I've actually used them and they'll make those Bose's sound like real garbage :p Curiously though, I wanted those ones and pay the $19 more just to have them in silver (versus the stock $99 black ones) I ended up getting a pair of Grado SR80's as I wanted more 'hi-fi ish' cans. But yeah, go for them bro, they're MUCH BETTER THAN BOSE in just about every field.

Thanks man... Im going to order them tomorrow.. I just don't know If I should Justify paying $20 just for the silver.

No worries bro. You won't regret em' ;) If you like them in silver and you have the spare 20$ I'll say go for it, on the other hand, the $99 black ones can be found on Best Buys and GuitarCenters, no need for any online ordering.

When traveling I can't live without my Shure e2c's

I use the regular headphones that came with the shuffle when working out at the gym

And I use some inexpensive Sony headphones (cost me like $10) to listen to music while in the office

Word to all the people with seinnheisers. Had a pair and loved the sound quality but they broke. I have American Audio headphones for dj purposes, though.
