You may be proud to know that in the near future they are coming out with some more feminine products. That's a market they haven't tapped into as much as they'd like, and that'll be changing very soon.

MDR-XD300, HD201, both being replaced shortly with MDR-V700DJ and HD555.

I don't like in-ear headphones much, I can't do the kind that sits in the canal and when I do use in ear, I just use Apple's that came with my old iPod. I know I could try new ones, but I love my big headphones.

There's pretty much no point spending that sort of money on an amp if you're going to be listening to a lossy source (i.e. mp3, aac, etc.). There's also little point spending that much on an amp when you only have £80 headphones.

As Compile 'em all said though, ask at headfi for the best advice.
Not even with my Shure SE530s?

I have settled for those, too. I use them with the medium sized foamies for great fit and insulation from the twaddle my Mitmenschen emanate.
Soundwise I found the Triple.Fis more within my personal preferences but the fit was impossible. I could have arranged for otoplastics but figured why spend extra. On a side note, I have found Shure´s service to be really accommodating. They have replaced cracked housings and cables without any undue attention. Props to earphonesolutions, by the way.

If you want to spend as little as possible and get really decent sq my nod would go to Sony´s MDR EX90.

I've got Sony MDR EX90 earphones or something. Not sure. To me, they're really expensive here in Canada, but I got them at a great price in Hong Kong......around $50. Only thing I can compare to are a pair of Sennheiser CX300 earphones, and a pair of cheap $20 Audio Technica earphones. These earphones are better than both, with the ATs as good as the Sennheisers, but with better bass response. :) However, these Sonys are absolutely horrible at blocking out ambient noise. Their bass response also isn't perfect, but the music really does sound like it should. They don't pound when bass is required, but the bass is definitely there.

I guess I do benefit from the fact that I can hear some outside noise, like when my mobile phone rings, or when I'm walking.

Here's a photo. I use them with my new Nokia 5800 mobile phone + the remote that comes with it. :)

For my iPod, I use V-moda Vibe in Midnight Blue.

Right now, for working on music I use Roland RH-25, but they're a cheap placeholder while I continue my search for the perfect headset.

By the way, xUKHCx, your new Santa-fied avatar reminds me of Achmed the Dead Terrorist. Silence-- I KEEL you! :D

I have a pair of Ultimate Ears superfi 5's. Totally worth it

On a side note, i see alot of people with Grado's. I really need a set of cans and i was looking into Grados but i heard that they were somewhat uncomfortable. And i have glasses. I would appreciate some input.

Right now, I'm using a pair of the Sony MDR7506 for monitoring while I'm doing remote recordings.

I use a pair of Shure E2's for casual listening. Used to use them as in-ear monitors when performing live.

beryerdynamic dt 770 pro
westone um1's

the beryers are utterly amazing
and i find myself using them more than my stereo set up which is already amazing.

the um1's are great when playing music and for casual listing (ipod) when not at home.
they block out so much sound i can play drums with just the headphones in.

ya i have gone through 20+ pairs of in ear headphones.
so after the 19th or so pair i finally said lets really pony up and get some nice ones (um1's)
then 3 days later they broke.
they sent a new pair but since then they have been great.

btw you need to change your foam tips, they get old fast and the sound sucks..

Oh man I miss those DT-770s. They pumped out great bass (not overwhelming or bloated at all) for techno / trance. A good woody and recable at headphile.com made them even better.

ya i know they don't expand back as fast anymore
hey do they sell new tips anywhere besides the internet?
when i bought them i orginally went to a bunch of hearing doctors but was getting fed up with them and i just bought them over the internet.
