I have tried these:

Klipsch X10i Lou Reed: Too expensive
Monster Beats Pro: Too Heavy (Sound Great Though)

in_ear_headphones_black_large_v1.jpg

Bowers and Wilkins P5: Disappointing
Bose MIE2: Stolen, Klipsch S4i were less expensive

I currently own these:

Klipsch S4i for General Use/Calls
Bose QC15 for Travel

Bose AE2 for Running

I am really picky when it comes to Audio. I got the Bose AE2's for Christmas a year or two ago. Then I bought the Bose QC15's before I went to Germany for the noise cancellation on the long flight. I originally tried the Monster Beats Pro headphones, but they were too heavy and the ear cups were too small (even for my little ears). Which is a shame because they sounded awesome.

iPhone headphones for normal daily use on top and exercise below.

How are the B&W earbuds?

I am currently finishing my B&W home theater system (CM9 Towers, CMC2 Center, ASW10CM Subwoofer in Rosenut... I still need matching rear speakers) and I have a Zeppelin Air Sound Dock.

I tried the P5's, but I was disappointed with them. So I returned them to try the Beats Pro by Dre, but ended up picking the QC15's from Bose for their superior noise cancellation coupled with decent sound quality.

I would love to try the Klipsch Mode M40 Noise canceling headphones because the S4i's are great earbuds.

Two pair broke, one was stolen. The two that broke I had replaced. And yes it is, haha. If my current pair break I'm going to return them and buy something else.

I think after the second pair broke I would move onto something else. Shopping for cheapo replacement in-ears that I use while doing yard work and such, I saw these: http://www.amazon.com/Klipsch-X10i-...TF8&qid=1347450322&sr=8-1&keywords=Image+X10i .

I would never pay that much for in-ears when I know I'll be all filthy from doing chores and such, but I was reading about them. They're $300 on the Klipsch site but $200 on Amazon.

Anyway, I actually like the look of those beats but I'd ditch them if they continued to break.

I bought a pair of B & W P5's recently and love them. However, in some ways, the P3's are even better.

I had the Bose AE2 and quite liked them. Personally, I love the B & W P5's, (the size, and comfort, and sheer style), but the B & W P3's - which came out earlier this year, and which are designed to be super-portable - are, to my mind, a really excellent and beautifully designed product.

I like the look of the p3s better but as for comfort, the sheep leather is hard to beat. Also since the material on the p3s doesn't really seal around the ear, too much sound leaked out for me. I don't like making other people listen to my music along with me aha :p

For sheer comfort, I agree, the leather of the P5 is hard to beat, which is why I bought them; actually, I bought them a few weeks ago in the airport en route to a few months abroad in an isolated spot, and I've been using them a lot since, and love them; light weight, not in the least bulky, exquisite, comfortable, lovely sound quality and simply beautiful to look at.

However, the P3's are really excellent; since I got them, I've used them for a few long flights four-five hour plus, (granted, with empty seats beside me) - and have also used them for long bus and train journeys, and found them excellent and ultra - exceedingly - portable. I have to say that they beat every in-ear bud that I have ever had by a long shot, not least for comfort.

I ordered a pair of Incase Sonics from Woot last week, and received them a couple of days ago. I'm very happy with them- decent sound, and they're quite comfortable.
