OK people, give me some advice on buying new headphones. I am looking for over the ear full size with in-line mic and 3 button control. No, effing Beats! I have seen more of those break than I care to see. I am looking for a quality build.

My Headphones

So Here it goes. I have got Blue Limited Edition Studio Beats which I have received as a gift from Apple store from a relative.

And another one is Marley's full metal acoustic headphones that I had a great deal.

Other than that, I have got some playstation branded PSP headphones, beats in ear and some philipps earphones.

Ive got the Bose Quiet Comfort 15's and they work well with the in line remote / mic - not cheap but perfect for the tube / train commutes into and out of work and flights abroad!

I've got a pair of Astro A40s with the wireless mixamp, but I'm trying to sell these to get a pair of A50s. I'd much rather the pure wireless, and less wires in general.

Was really considering getting some purple beats but just couldn't shell out 299 for some headphones that need batteries. So I got these instead... And I absolutely LOVE them! (Aerial7 Tank Midnight)

Sennheiser Amperior headphones.

Ive had this conversation on Head-Fi with another member,
His attitude was the iPhone can "easily" drive the HD25 1 IIs...

Imo, It can drive them but not that well,
But when you pair them with an amp/lod as I have
They really come into their own!

whereas the Amperior's are amped so I would imagine what you say won't be an issue :) Let me know how you get along with the setup ;)

Isolation is very good for an on-ear. I love the aesthetics personally. Fit is very comfortable, no pressure points. (I have a large head too, size 7 1/2 hat). The percussion feels very textured to me. The range and balance seems good, but I have a very small sampling size to compare to. I'm now curious to see if I notice a change over time. Next step is to decide on an amp for a down the road purchase.

The king of the on-ears, the sennheiser amperiors :)

Went from my old Beats (which fell apart after a few months and were generally terrible) to these and haven't looked back since

anyway, hoping to bump this thread to see more. I'm going (window) shopping for headphones tomorrow.

Has anyone tried Nixon headphones? I liked the look, but not sure how they sound....
Never heard of 'em.

If you want stylish cans with quality, check out Incase or V-Moda headphones. They look great, and sound pretty decent. I can't leave out B&W or other audiophile companies like Sennheiser, but just give those two a gander first and see if you like.

Depending on what price range you are in I like the Skullcandy Aviator. Plus they have the mic and 3 button control. Build quality is amazing plus lifetime warranty

Agree completely with both posts. ;) Excellent choice and an exquisite, solid, smallish, beautifully crafted and well built set of head phones.

A few weeks ago, I bought the Bowers & Wilkins P3's (an ultra-portable, well-crafted, very light, and excellent ear-phones). As I travel a fair bit, these were what I planned to use.

However, I'm away on work related matters at the moment, and couldn't resist the Bowers & Wilkins P5's (which I had promised myself) when strolling through the airport shop a week ago. Amazing, beautiful, exquisite, superbly crafted, and worth every penny/cent for my money. So now, I have the B & W P3 and P5, both of which are excellent and well made and deliver a beautiful sound.

I got these at least a year ago during black friday for $1, but never really needed to use them. A few days ago, I really wanted to use some headphones while playing need for speed so I pulled them out, and they sound much better than I expected!
