I cannot for the life of me worry out how to set up a widget with Widget Park that shows pics from a specific album.
Don’t suppose you can tell me how to set it up?
Hope my Reddit post helps. All you need to do is download the shortcut, change the Album in the Shortcut if you would like to and then setup automations to execute the Shortcut at the frequency that you desire.

I keep playing with widgets, size and place. I first had left row of three square widgets, but since I use the App Library more and more, I decreased the numbers of home screens and appreciate the larger widgets. All widgets I use are stacks, otherwise I’d end up with a ton of screens with just widgets lol.

Where did you get that battery grapher widget?

Do you have a link for the Battery Grapher? Looks interesting.

I think that may be the app although it hasn’t been updated in 3 months.

That’s for the watch. I believe there’s a separate app for iOS 14 which is in beta. I found the reddit and sent a msg to the dev to see if I can beta test it :)

Medium widget showing distance walked in last 21 days using Charty and small widget with some health stats using Widget Wizard.
Is there any way you can detail how you configured Charty to generate the above. I've been trying ti duplicate it without much success.

It’s quite simple actually. You can use the shortcut from my post as it is, which will generate the graph for 21 days. Does that work? Or if you want a different configuration, let me know which step you’re struggling with and I can help you.

I’m finding the shortcuts widget the only one I find useful as the rest are just oversized icons of apps I rarely use.

Not using the App Library either, is anybody else finding that? I’m too used to searching to find apps quickly or going to the folders I’ve already filed apps into. The App Library just seems like another screen with the same apps but in an order that doesn’t make much sense to me.

At least it’s not forcing the changes as it’s clearly early days for this layout.

I am using the app library a lot, as all my apps sans 3 are found in the app library. I can quickly find the app I want or do a quick search from the app library page.

I’m sure yourself and many others are finding it useful, I’m just not as I don’t find I need to use it as I was very organised with my folders before. Maybe in time i’ll start using it

I used folders as well before 14. I didn’t think I would prefer useful widgets on the home screen but, I do. Maybe in time you will think different. Good thing is you still have a choice.

I must be missing the obvious I've just gone back through the thread. I can see the Testflight links but not one for the shortcut?

I think I’d enjoy widgets more if they were third party apps. You’re right though about choice. There is no right or wrong way when customising our user experience.

Cheers.

Can you screenshot your automation set up so I can set it to update itself? I set a daily update but it failed. Can you set it to update several times a day?

Don’t worry, sorted and sussed it.
Long ol’ process to set it up to update once an hour

Third party widgets should be a lot of fun. Widget Wizard (currently in TestFlight) is already a lot of fun and more practical than what Apple currently offers. I look forward to seeing the competition between developers.

Really love that wallpaper!

I'm really looking forward to launch now.. so we can get our hands on some third party widgets!

I found this thread on Twitter if anybody is interested.. some developers showing what they've been working on.

Speaking of developing widgets, I would like one that tracks my MacRumors usage in real time showing post count, hours spent per day on the forum, as well as posts per day average, and the next person I need to conquer in the top poster count. @arn I would pay for such a widget. :D
