Before getting my first iPhone (a 4S) in 2012 I had a Samsung Wave. Still have it somewhere. Anyway, I had been hearing about smartphones and their fancy GPS systems and whatnot, and thought that all of that would be nifty to have in my pocket. It wasn't with the Wave. The screen was beautiful and the camera great for the time, but that BADA nonsense had me in a damn near murderous rage on a daily basis. And don't even get me started on the software required to transfer stuff from phone to computer.
Anyway, then I got the 4S and it's been (mostly) smooth sailing since. That one was stolen from me just about the same time as the 5 came out, so that was the logical next step. Used the 5 for about a couple of years, and it came to be that my girlfriend at the time needed a new phone, so she got her first iPhone, and I switched to the 6. It did everything I needed and I was quite happy with it, but it just so happens my enthusiasm rubbed off on my father, who now also wanted an iPhone. So, again after using the phone for a couple of years it was time for me to upgrade to the 7 and pass the 6 off to the old man.
Now, using the X, I have, once again, given my father the 7, and he in turn gave the old 6 to my mother. For now, everything is hunky dory on all fronts as far as phones are concerned.
