Before getting my first iPhone (a 4S) in 2012 I had a Samsung Wave. Still have it somewhere. Anyway, I had been hearing about smartphones and their fancy GPS systems and whatnot, and thought that all of that would be nifty to have in my pocket. It wasn't with the Wave. The screen was beautiful and the camera great for the time, but that BADA nonsense had me in a damn near murderous rage on a daily basis. And don't even get me started on the software required to transfer stuff from phone to computer.

Anyway, then I got the 4S and it's been (mostly) smooth sailing since. That one was stolen from me just about the same time as the 5 came out, so that was the logical next step. Used the 5 for about a couple of years, and it came to be that my girlfriend at the time needed a new phone, so she got her first iPhone, and I switched to the 6. It did everything I needed and I was quite happy with it, but it just so happens my enthusiasm rubbed off on my father, who now also wanted an iPhone. So, again after using the phone for a couple of years it was time for me to upgrade to the 7 and pass the 6 off to the old man.

Now, using the X, I have, once again, given my father the 7, and he in turn gave the old 6 to my mother. For now, everything is hunky dory on all fronts as far as phones are concerned.

You have your old iPhone's or sold them??

4 -> 5 -> 6 -> 5s -> 4s -> 6s -> 7 -> SE -> X

Have owned a Moto G, Nexus 6P, OnePlus One, Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S7 in between as well

Currently, only own the 6s and X ... X is daily driver. Pixel 2 XL and/or Galaxy S9 will hopefully be added as well.

Bolded are devices I received on contract, other phones were purchased either outright or second hand

4, 4s, 5, 5s, 6, 6+, 6s+, se, 6s, 7, 7+, 8+ and now the 8. And in between some Android phones such as LG G4, Nexus 5, Samsung note 4, S7, S8 & S8+. I was planning to buy the X, but in my eyes it's to expensive.

Ok in order, and it makes me laugh when people call me an Android troll just because of my avatar lol:

iPhone 3GS
iPhone 4 (best ever design)
iPhone 5
iPhone 6S
iPhone 7
Another iPhone 7
iPhone 6S again
iPhone 8 that was sent back and still on the 6S as I want an X next.

So eight iPhones over 11 years or so?

I’ve also had 2 iPads and 5 or 6 Macs, mainly the MB Pro.

iPod Touch 4
iPod Touch 5
iPhone 5
iPhone 5S
iPhone 6 Plus
iPhone 6s Plus
iPhone 7 Plus
iPhone 8 Plus

Many other Apple devices, but those were my personal ones.

This is a bit depressing to actually look at:

Original iPhone, iPhone 3g, iPhone 3g S, iPhone 4, iPhone 6+, iPhone 6S+, iPhone 7+, and now the iPhone X.

I also had an SE for a bit to play around with.

iPhone 2G
iPhone 3G
iPhone 3GS
iPhone 4
iPhone 5
iPhone 6 Plus
iPhone 6S Plus
iPhone X

* Waiting for the iPhone X Plus.

Quite a big story:
iPhone (jailbroken and unlocked since it wasn't officially available in my country)
iPhone 3G
iPhone 3GS
iPhone 4
iPhone 4S
iPhone 5
iPhone 5S
iPhone 6
iPhone 6S Plus
iPhone 7 Plus
iPhone X

Nothing like the amazement of the first iPhone, it really looked at something out of a Sci-Fi movie when it first came out!

Pagers prior to phones

Starting in 1995ish

PrimeCo (Had a little purple mascot)
Nokia
Flip Phone
Moto Q - battery sucked so bad, if you plugged it in before bed, it would charge to 100, cut of then be dead by Morn.
Another nokia non-flip

...
Came in at the 3G
Left for Nexus 5
Left for Google Pixel 2

Had 5, 6, 7 x Here to stay, on iPhone, wife says ya sure. The whole family really needs to be in one ecosystem to realize all the advantages of Apple vs Google.
