Jailbroken

Does it slow down the phone? I jailbroke my iPhone 3G back in the day and it kept re-sprining, but back then RAM was I think only 128MB in the particular device.

Couldn't even use a wallpaper other than black.

It’s as fast as it came stock BUT depending on which jailbreak tweaks you use, it can crash from time to time.

Why does it crash? I would think anything above 2GB RAM would be more than plenty

It’s the jailbreak tweak, not the jailbreak. I’ve had it jailbroken without tweaks and had not one crash. Some tweaks just aren’t that stable and even some jailbreak updates can be unstable. Nothing is untethered anymore though, however, after a reboot, it’s jist the press of a button to re jailbreak.

The NYT had a piece up about origami back on Nov. 22, 2019. I was captivated by an element in one of the photos and extracted it to use, rotated 90º, as SE wallpaper. The object is "Polar Sine Wave" by Robby Kraft. Photo from which extract was taken is by NYT photographer Ryan Jenq. The piece for those interested is The Modern Life of Origami, an Art as Old as Paper. It is paywalled, I believe.
