exactly my point!!

this a community commited to helping each other. Here is a guy that is asking others to help him, but wont return the favour. if it's so trivial, why not just share his work the same way he is asking others to do?

dude if you want icons so bad make them yourself. this isn't MacCharity Forums where everything is spoonfed to you. Stop crying.

It's quite simple really; because he chooses not to. He doesn't have to give a reason for not sharing, nor does he have to share something he made if he doesn't want to.

There's tons of other icons that can be supplemented, what's the big deal about his? The phone icon would be harder to make, but I can think of 2 or 3 others that are similar, and the Dashboard icon could easily be recreated.

I dont want them, if I needed any I would make them myself.

but some people here do..the same people who are offering to help you when you asked for it, the same people spoonfeeding you help when you can't do something yourself

a little bit of curtesy wouldn't hurt is all I'm saying..they are helping you, why not help them back?

I appreciate all you have done helping out this forum with your simplelockscreen and remaking "that one theme". Completly agree with you if you do not want to give your icons out to everyone. But I do recall in the not so distant past you were not too happy with a certain graphiteevo and his nfr/elitest attitude. I think the above quote is leaning towards that attitude you frowned upon...

I help the people who help me back. The thing is you don't have anything that I would want, and you're mad that I don't want to share with you. Get over it bro.

@PlanetRed I got over that because I too realized that it's just a phone, no big deal getting upset over it. But I don't think I'm being elitist. I'm not refusing to share because I'm part of Macristocracy, because I'm not. I'm refusing to share because I just ....don't want to I don't know how else to explain it. I'm actually probably going to stop posting screenshots here because there's only a few other members such as das1g and truskyj and others in this thread that actually appreciate them, everyone else just begs this group of ~10 talented themers for their work.

EDIT: By the way the whole NFR thing is pretty much done away with at M* (or at least they're not enforcing it like they used to) and many old themes that were previously NFR have been released or will be soon (like Principium) So NFR now just means whatever the artist decides. Some share, some don't.

but this is a community here to help each other and I suppose I would prefer to see EVERYONE sharing what knowledge and skills they have.

and there's you who only helps people who help you??? what kind of attitude is that? I don't see where you asked for help and the reply was 'I'll tell you if you give me something in return'..the help you needed was given freely

The dev team have given you a jailbreak..but what did you do for them? I'm guessing nothing...if they only did it for people who helped them, where would that leave you??
 
You guys should really look into what mcd has done around here. He pretty much rebuilt a theme based on a screenshot someone took from a 3gs. Put together a pretty damn nice lockscreen theme as well. Both released to everyone. The sense of entitlement around here is getting out of hand...

Them rules at M* have not started yet and won't until the site becomes more public. Which won't be for a while as they're are redesigning the whole site.

Edit: nvm thought you were looking for the dock icons :p and tbh he doesn't have to share if he doesn't want . There are no rules saying he has to . Just my two cents on the whole fiasco :p

I didn't get that off lex . I got it off truskji (think that's how u spell his username) . So I'm not too sure I can share .
