I've got the LockInfo theme set to "Classic". The icons are a package on Cydia called "Better Lockinfo Icons Theme". It's got two separate packages in the download, so when you put it in Winterboard, you'll have "Better Lockinfo Status Bar Icons" and "Better Lockinfo Sections Icons". The latter are the icons you see on my lockscreen next to each header.

:D

Got the icons, thanks. How do you make the section header transparent instead of shaded grey?

Are you jailbroken ?

Installed winterboard ?
If not google those terms and/or search these forums.
In doing that (if you're not already) you may find your answers ?
If not shoot me a PM and I can walk you through it

Jailbroken, yes, but no Winterboard yet. I'll search when I get home from work, but if you know of a quick guide off-hand that would be great. Basically I just wanted to know what I needed (sounds like Winterboard from your post) and then where to put the theme folder (can I just add it to a specific location using iPhoneExplorer, or is there a special way I have to add it to my phone?). Beyond that, some screen shots I've seen in the past make it look like you just pick and choose what theme elements you want to apply at any time, via a settings screen of some sort.

Thanks!

Download Winterboard from Cydia. Once WB is installed you have two main ways of getting themes, icons, lockscreens and widgets.

The first way is to download them from Cydia. If you download them, once cydia installs them, you open winterboard and apply them (winterboard work in a hierarchical format, i.e. the top themes override the bottom ones. For example if you apply a them and also want yellow font color, make sure the font color item is higher in the stack then the theme).

The second way to get themes is to download the files from the forum (from the links that members post). The files are usually in a .zip format. Extract the contents to your hard drive. Then go to Cydia and download open SSH and install it. If you have a Mac use CyberDuck and for a PC use Winscp. These programs will allow you to ssh into your phone.

When you ssh into the phone navigate to the following directory:
var/stash/themes/

Copy the extracted folder into the themes directory. You should then be able to apply the theme though Winterboard.

Hope that helps.

Thanks, that's exactly what I was wondering! My only question now is... Instead of downloading SSH, can I just use iPhoneExplorer (or iPhoneBrowser)? It sounds like they will accomplish the same thing, just need to put it in the correct path I'm guessing.

Thanks a ton for this info.

I've never used those programs. I just ssh the files in and then use ifile to change weather locations and such.

is there a way to disable the slider? the LS theme that i am using already has an unlock button and when i receive a text OR slide where it normally says "slide to unlock" the phone unlocks itself. example:

i'm having the same problem myself. tried changing the springboard strings & it's not working on 4.2.1 for some reason

:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

Bringing it back up once more... I'm new to this and I don't have WinterBoard or any theme-type stuff installed, just standard jailbreak, a few tweaks from Cydia, and some manual icon changes. I'm wondering if there is any way to get this clock/weather widget onto the lock screen instead of the home screen. This is quite possibly the best-looking clock I've ever seen on a phone, haha. Could anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks!

One page earlier post#421 is your answer

Well I downloaded WinterBoard, put the modified theme (above) in the correct location, and applied it within the settings... And it doesn't work. It shows up on the home screen rather than the lock screen like I was hoping for. I would like to replace the stock time/date section on the lock screen with that amazing-looking reflective clock/weather widget. Could anyone help?

Thank you :D

^ i think there should be an HTML file or something in there. and you just disable it i think

I had tweaked my LockInfo headers before the update to 3.0 to make them clear. All I did was replace the overlay with a clear one.

BUT...with LockInfo 3.0 (and up) you can control this from right within the settings. If you go to Settings>LockInfo>Lockscreen>Appearance there are 3 sliders at the bottom that allow you to change the transparency of the headers, the section cells, and the background.

For instance, I've got my Section Headers slider all the way to the left (clear), but my Section Cells slider all the way to the right (completely opaque), and Background is all the way to the left (again, clear). That way, if I'm using a bright wallpaper, when I expand a section of LockInfo, I can more easily see the text.

Hope this helps!

I'm not sure if you're talking about the file I uploaded last night (the reflective clock one), but I uploaded the version I modified that puts it on the Lockscreen as opposed to the Springboard (as the original version does).

This may be where things are getting messed up. I'm still on iOS 4.0. Now, while that file may have been designed with 4.2.1 in mind, I'm not sure if the same tricks to move it from the Springboard to the Lockscreen work. For instance, that file already has the code changed so I can set my wallpaper from the photo roll. This is something you can't do on 4.2.1. Maybe that's where the foul up is occurring? I honestly don't know.

Yes, I just can't figure out what exactly is telling it to load in the home screen instead of the lock screen.

Code:
	var enableLockScreen = true;
...
	if (location.href.indexOf("LockBackground")  == -1){
		stylesheet = stylesheetWall;
		iconSet = iconSetWall;
		iconExt = iconExtWall;
		enabled = enableWallpaper;
	}else{
		stylesheet = stylesheetLock;
		iconSet = iconSetLock;
		iconExt = iconExtLock;
		enabled = enableLockScreen;
	}

	if(enabled == true){
		if(iconSet == null || iconSet == 'null' || iconSet == ""){
		var iconSet = stylesheet;
	}

I'm just not sure what exactly this is doing, but whatever it is, it's not working on my lock screen for some reason. But now I'm getting into stuff that belongs in the HTML thread... I just posted here since this is where the widget was posted, and someone had a lock-screen version... Just wondering if maybe the wrong version was posted for download? Or is there something else I need to do in order to enable lock screen themes?

can you post a screen shot of the LS tat you want, and your current LS?

for hiding your LS stock clock you need LOCKINFO from cydia (there is a trial version) and you hide the clock from there.

I do have LockInfo, but I have the lock screen part disabled. I only use it for the InfoShade, and I don't want all of the notifications on my lock screen (I don't want anything that can be pressed or touched except for the slider).

I want this exact weather/clock widget, including the font, on my lock screen instead of the stock clock. I would also like to keep the stock slider.

Widget on Lockscreen

I'm an idiot!!!

Good lord, guys. I apologize profusely! After reading through DDustiNN's problems getting the widget I posted onto his lockscreen, I went back and looked. And it turns out, I POSTED THE WRONG DARN THING!!! Jeez...what a klutz I am! I'm so sorry about that. Apparently I posted the springboard version of it and not the lockscreen version. :eek:

Here's the CORRECT lockscreen version: Again, I apologize for the confusion!

I've also gone back and changed the wrong link in the original post. :D

Get ClockHide from Cydia for free. It'll hide the LS clock
