wow this is fantastic! does you or anyone know how to make the status bar the same for how it is when it's unlocked? Like when the phone is locked the status bar is very dark but when you unlock it it is a nice translucent menu bar. Anyone know how to make both translucent? :confused:

Or you do what I did. Find ONE theme you like and don't change it beyond adding your weather code. I had one on my phone for 9 months. Then that one didn't work any more when I finally decided to upgrade to 4.2.1, and I had to find something else. That was six or eight weeks or so ago (I didn't jump to 4.3.3). I've immersed myself in code and Photoshop ever since.


Anyway--for those who are in love with Blink:

As far as I can tell (I did this a long time ago), I made no mods to this one other than adding the code making it compatible with wallpaper conventions after 4.2.1. You may still need to do different things to hide your clock/etc. This is a 12 hour version, you may need to adjust the code for 24 hour. The original files for lock and black/transparent status bar are still there. (status bar icons are not included, neither is CameraLock or the icon for that) I threw in a random background I had downloaded a while back, not sure where that one is from--if anyone recognizes it, please let me know & I'll credit appropriately.

Blink is sneaky--a transparent status bar changes nothing in this one--the black is hidden in the code. Open the HTML in a text editor in iFile on the phone. Look for #background near the beginning. Under that, you'll see top: 20px; change the 20 to 0. Save and respring, and you'll get this:

Put Translucent_Base/@2x.png file(s) into you Homescreen theme UIImages folder.

That won't work in this case as in the lockscreen he's using, the wallpaper is lowered 20px; that's the way the designer set it up for some reason. If you don't change that, the status bar continues to remain black on the LS. You have to make the change in the HTML.

i am using noki-hd, and i ssh'd a wallpaper to my lockscreen.

i was just wondering how to change the slide to unlock, or in my case it is tap to unlock? like is there something i could download from cydia to have a custumizable slide to unlock?

any help would be appreciated.

Wow - that lotus is very pretty. Would you tell me where you got that please (it might be hidden in this thread somewhere...)?

Thanks--and no, it's not in the thread. It's a wifi icon I've been working on off and on, originally inspired by discordante/vinny's "Leafy" signal & wifi theme. It's still not done--hasn't been a high priority in the last couple of weeks, and I'm afraid I haven't dedicated the time to it that it needs. I'll release it here if I ever finish with it & the matching signal one. No promises on timeline though, I get sidetracked easily. LOL

There are oodles of different sliders available in Cydia. You just need to find one that you like and SSH it into the theme folder you're currently using.

The file name of the slider is bottombarknobgray@2x.png and is located in your com.apple.TelephonyUI folder. All you need to do is find a slider you like and replace the original file with the new one.
