That's what I thought I would need to do.

Also, I'm on 5s. :(

This is what I get when I open iFunbox:

I don't see where to go for the basic icons. I can only see downloaded apps.

To have complete access you must install "afc2add" from cydia.

Do I need to change icons again after an app update?

Some people should not be allowed to customize their smartphones. The last screen is so damn ugly.

So wrong topic for you.

Jaku theme on cydia was updated. Here is mine with a few icons from the repo and other places.

NICE!

I'm getting a little frustrated working on it. It's hard to figure out which icons are the ones to replace.

For the app store, there is a 120, 152, 20, 29, 40, 58, 76, and 80. Do I have to do them all, by resizing the 120 to the other sizes? Or am I missing something here.

Also, I'm able to rename, delete, etc., from the Systems App list, but in the User Applications, I'm not able to modify anything. I just installed Hidden Settings 7 and CCSettings. Will that have made a difference?

Anyone? Would really like to change my feedly icon.

Hi all,

This is my first post (be kind!). I have an iPad Air with 7.0.4 and have been having fun with the jailbreak. Today I started playing with manually changing icons (using WinSCP over SSH and replacing the files). So far, so good with the Cydia icon, iMessages icon and Safari icon.

Then I went to do the feedly icon. There was no directory in Applications. So I used WinSCP to search and eventually found a feedly directory in:

var/mobile/applications/F30C.(blahblah)..3587

There are a bunch of icons there and I tried replacing several of them. But everytime I respring, I don't see my icon changing (I also deleted the icon cache as I was supposed to).

Any advice? Is there an icon naming convention I should be looking for? I tried to replace the icons with "2x" in their filename, but still can't seem to find the right one to change the icon that appears on the Springboard.

Thanks for any help!

Chris

Ok, from what I've seen now...

trying to relaunch springboard from ccsettings, isn't "fully" restarting the springboard. So, I changed an icon, and restarted springboard from ccsettings putting it in the control center. No change in icon.

I uninstalled hidden settings 7, and when I had to restart springboard from inside cydia, the icon I changed, showed up properly.

Not sure what could be happening trying to restart the springboard via cc.

Love it

Certain types of resprings don't remove the springboard cache. If you're not using winterboard there are tweaks in cydia that accomplish the same thing.

I can't believe people are actually reverting back to those old outdated square icons from 2-3 yrs ago in which I'm referring to jaku...

Yeah it's tough to believe people actually have different likes and dislikes. Personally, I can't believe anyone likes apples ugly flat icons...IMHO.

sarcasm isn't your strong point....has nothing to do with different taste...I was simple putting it I can't believe people are still using a icon based theme today from 3 yrs ago especially now that iOS 7 UI doesn't go at all with those icons

Indeed. Its like decorating a house, most of the people have no idea what does look good and what doesn't.

It's okay not to like Apple's style and there are a lot themes out there, but only a few of them are truly great. Most of them are like from year 2004 or earlier.

When I changed to a few to a few of these icons, I'm seeing a blackborder around each one. What did I miss? Any suggestions? Does being on the 5s matter?

Are you using the old icons? I changed the size of the icons as well as the appmask so all of the old icons I made will not work. I will post the new psd later.

I downloaded the ones linked from your post a page or two back. It's the same post quoted a few posts up #5992.

I'm also at a loss on a tweak to use that will respring properly. The option in ccsettings isn't cutting it. (on a 5s).

If you have any suggestions in that area, I'd greatly appreciate it lol.

Are you using Winterboard or are you theming manually? If you are theming manually you have to replace the Appiconmask. or the board will remain.
