I got that and their first album a while ago. I can't find Crisis though. :(

I also need a working turntable to finally listen to them.

I forgot about that band, I'm pretty sure I have their first CD somewhere in my stash. For some reason it's not on my computer though, hmm.

Last year was the best time to move to HD.

It took me a while since I have a family and bills. :D

But the best part is the price drops, and the discontinued models. Since the Red Scarlet isn't available yet, I grabbed this in the meantime.

Good thing about this financial bailout package that Uncle Sam has finally gotten to implement -- now we can all buy more and consume more goods and items without worry of not having the ability to pay back the loans.

God Bless America!

I had my eye on one of those a while back... Are they worth it? I mean, do you notice a difference from like the 20" Dell or HP monitors?

In short yes.

In long, I've been through a lot of monitors and buy a lot for clients, I usually recommend dells to clients purely on cost and spec. However I decided to get a Dell 2007FPW for my macbook pro and I used it for a week before getting annoyed with it. No matter how much I played with the settings it was a distant second compare to the mbp's own display.

This ACD is amazing it was 2nd hand but looks brand new and was not that much more than the dell. It's built better and the screen seems much better. They seem to go for silly money and I certainly wouldn't have paid full price for one.

Every archaeologist working out west needs a good pair of backpacking boots, and my current pair were finished...so I picked up a pair of Lowa Banffs.

Best way to go, and yes. The best bargain on the high end LCD market right now is 23" ACD or the Dell 24" with the H-IPS. Both of which run about $700 or so used/new.

For me, it's those FW400 hubs in the back.

Very nice, I have a pair of the full-leather L.L. Bean boots which I plan on lasting me into the indefinite future.

I used to have the 24in dell and it was great. This acd is the 20incher which is perfect for my needs now.

Gah! Now I've got something else to save for! :) I'd love to have a pair of those set up one day. When my ship comes in...

It's easy to grin, when my ship comes in-
and I've got the stock market beat;
But the desktop monitor worth while
is the Mac widescreen with style
when the MacBook Pro 17" Matte screen it's connected to doesn't overheat.
Thx, Judge Smells.

What also arrived today was the SFbags.com Waterfield case for my Acer Aspire One netbook.

This case is superb, they are quite pricey when you include all the extra's like the piggyback. I think it was worth it as most of the other netbook bags are awful.

Ms. Brutal: I have to ask: Is Fierce for men or women? Not trying to be funny, but I've seen it in there and it's got the shirtless dude in the bottle I just wonder. Is that stuff that smell almost herbal-ish?

It wasn't that bad at all.

I paid about $2750 for it off of Craigslist from a TV studio that wasted money on them and I told them for the past year that they did. These guys just aren't built strong enough for heavy ENG, so they sat around for a year or so.

Wow, I guess that is a good deal. How is the video quality?

GLORIOUS!

I have shot with it before, and with the P2 cards which work flawlessly with FCP. My video life changed that day and ever since I have been trying to get on the HD/Tapeless bandwagon for two years.

I do however have to spring for more audio and lighting equipment. Video is already starting to be a bit more expensive than stills. I had to kiss my D700 and lenses goodbye for this camera, but it was worth it for sure.

p.s. My new latest purchase is now a wireless mighty mouse for the fiance.

I just bought the Apple socks. I LOVE them, they are so great, and they will keep my nano, dare, and touch warm in the coming months :p

edit: ugh those purple nanos just don't want you to see the great purple beauty they hold!
