a v.good effort for ~$400-$500, so these things are selling up a storm.
hoping Apple can compete in this segment after 14/10, although I couldn't wait until then.

Gas isn't controlled by the stock market, it closed at 77.70 a barrel, down 8.89! That's a great drop

Just think one month ago it closed around 115 a barrel.

We're at 2.89 here, small towns rated at some of the highest costs...

Picture 6.png

Had to take off the rude offensive part of that :p

Shouldn't have gotten that..its actually over-expensive only because of the word "Microsoft" on it. Any old USB Network adaptor would work. well, not ANY but most of them do..and an ethernet one to. I have a buffalo Ethernet one that works perfectly. the ethernet plugs into the xbox, and then it has a power cord for an outlet. let me find a picture or something and I'll come back

and the RRoD isn't at all bad if you actually take CARE of your console! 1 red light, 2 red lights. can be fixed YOURSELF..it just means that the power cord or something isn't plugged in, and 2 red lights mean your AV/HDMI cable isn't plugged in..Not sure about the 1 light..but I know you can fix it yourself..very tiny problem..get Gears of War 2!

EDIT: here I got this:

http://www.wi-fiplanet.com/img/2005/08/whr-g54s.jpg

and it has ~4 ethernet ports in the back, so you can plug in your desktop or something if you have a computer or something set up near your TV.

I bought this Sigg thermal mug (stainless steel):

and this Klear Kanteen water bottle (green moss):

http://www.kleankanteen.com/2products/klean-kanteen-27oz.html

Despite the clever marketing, clever design, and marginally nicer looks, I didn't get a Sigg water bottle to match my Sigg thermal mug because Klear Kanteen's stainless steel bottle is probably better for you. Aluminium is considered a poison in pretty much every country, and in spite of all the claims regarding the water-based coating inside to protect you from the aluminium, we don't know how long it lasts, whether long-term exposure to any acidic or carbonated drink wears out the coating, or any such info. As we've been avoiding aluminium in our food products over the past 30 years or so, I don't know why Western society went back to using it for food. We just lined the inside with some form of protective barrier, and claimed it was probably OK for the lifetime of the product. What happens when the lining wears out?

Stainless steel is second to glass when it comes to holding your liquids, and isn't as breakeable. And as far as we're currently aware, doesn't have any link to Alzheimer's whatsoever. Aluminium doesn't conclusively have a link, but not having enough evidence right now isn't really conclusive.

The oval-shaped Sigg 600 ml bottles were indeed very wicked looking, and tempting. Just couldn't say yes.

A black Nintendo DS. Never knew these were so much fun! Although I hope I don't waste too much time on this thing!

I sort of regret getting the Onyx one. Black glossy = scratches/smudges galore. Should have gotten a red or cobalt one. Then at least the top wouldn't scratch so much and the bottom would be matte, not glossy. :( oh well. lesson learned. Already some hairline scratches on it... from a microfibre cloth, no less! Yeesh!

Oh well. It's loads of fun. Only one game so far: Zelda - Phantom Hourglass. That is, until my Acekard 2 gets here. :)
