Applecare for my Macbook:
The warranty for the Macbook runs out Feb. 1st, and I'd rather be safe than sorry - specially with the economy and having just bought an apartment, I'm pretty sure that I won't be getting a new computer within the next 2 years
BTW, here's my Macbook purchase from the original "Post your last purchase" thread a year ago... amazing this thread is still going strong.

yes i have it in silver and yes its made from aluminum, its great! i love the led's glowing when you use it.
