Let me try and get this right...
Obviously a Merkin is a pubic wig but it can also be a term for an American. So 'rubbers' in the UK are Erasers to Americans but 'rubbers' to Americans are condoms...does that make sense?
Basically it was supposed to be a Brit-to-American clash.
