I just got a BlackBerry Bold. I switched it from my iPhone 2G. I figured that if I didn't like my BB Bold, I'll just trade it via Craigslist or whatever for a white iPhone 3G.

Picture taken, ironically, with my iPhone before it was disconnected. Oh, and I did just buy the gummy bears too but they're gone now.

I have been seriously debating if I want to get a BB Bold, a new 3G iPhone, or wait for the next generation iPhone (I still have my iPhone that I bought in September 2007).

Anyhow, hope you are enjoying it.

Hey jaydub! Congrats on the purchase..... I'm considering the same cam as a smaller alternative to my 50D. What do you think of the pics so far? Are you getting better than P&S results as far as DOF and quality?

Still loving the MP btw! Definitely my best purchase in a long time!

Hey there!

Would you believe, the camera was just shipped from its previous owner, I'm expecting delivery mid-week. I used one last week briefly and was very impressed with the photos. It's an odd way of showing it but here is a link to some photos that were taken by someone with little experience behind the camera - it was her first time using it and she is not a professional (she's my girlfriend!)

i should probably have posted that i have a lot of photography experience, using film, i have a nikon FE2 and a bonica etrs system, i have just been saving to go to digital. there is no 70-200 1.8L, i didnt get the 50 1.2 because i wanted to spend the money on a fast wide prime i could carry with me, when i dont want either the 24-70 or the 50, i normally shoot portraits and nightclub stuff(concerts and what not) i have rented up till now and have putting money away to get the best kit i could, i dont do alot of tele. work so why get the 2.8 and most of the tele. work i do, is in an atmosphere with more than enough light. the 16-35L is a great wide lens, but it doesnt have the f/1.4 that i require when i dont want to use a flash. im not some idiot with more money than brains, i know what i shoot, i upgraded from a good point and shoot, but a point and shoot non the less. i knew exactly what i was buying and what it was going to be used for. im also not that serious bout macro work, i bought it to be used as a portrait lens as well as a macro lens. in regards to my ZEISS 50 1.4, i have had it for a while, i just included it in my picture.

so please dont assume that because my kit doesnt include lenses you woudl buy that each lens doesnt have a purpose that i will use it for. and i thought that at the moment the 5d mark 2 is probably the best all around camera i can get, for what i do/want to do. thats why i bought it,

I agree with all your lens choices except for the 70-200 F4 L.. You should get a faster lens, like the 70-200 F2.8 L IS USM lens... Also, the 50 F2.8 L Prime lens is one of the best lens that Canon could offer...

As for the body, I could not say more as 5D MK 2 is my next camera in my BUY list..

Excellent setup, you should be good to go for another 3 years at least..:)

Definitely not bad at all, flash seems to have pretty good range too which is nice. I have a small canon pocket cam, SD900 or something like that, and it's well... what it is... everything is very flat. Snapshots period.. I've checked out some more samples taken with the G10 and it actually is very impressive indeed.

There have been quite a few places reporting the G10 is great because it comes with the grip built in (the same one us G9 owners were buying third party) and the wider angle lens, but then there were reports that the long zoom wasn't as great (picture quality) and there were more noise issues (more pixels + same size sensor = more noise). Did you experience any of this? I still love my G9 and won't upgrade to the G10 as it's a throw around camera for the most part. But I still wondered. Your pictures don't look half bad, but they aren't the full res output of course. :)

My Sunday morning ritual/walk to CVS to pick up some goods.

Even so ... CVS sells the Mighty Mouse? :p
