It really is quite an amazing device... I'm really enjoying it. I had to buy the Stephen King short novel UR... it's interesting, and the Kindle is a major character in it. :D

I've been considering UR as well. I am a huge Stephen King fan but have been hesitant to buy it since he only wrote it for marketing purposes and to get a Kindle 2 early.

Same here... but they had it on sale for $2.99 so figured what the heck. First purchase and it's a quick read... it's worth about $3 bucks. :)

Yeah as long as you don't use metal utensils to stir, scrape, etc. it will last you a long time. That's the biggest mistake I see people make with these coated pans, they just don't last when you use metal spoons/spatulas. And you would think it would be obvious that it was a bad idea... But common sense isn't so common anymore..

Some of the high-end dental equipment:

"I absolutely LOVE this machine. My mouth feels so clean after use, and it truly is amazing the stuff that still comes out after brushing and flossing (although flossing seems unecessary if using this machine).

It definitely says in the instructions to empty it after every use, and to unplug the unit, so don't pay attention to reviewers who say the reservoir leaks, especially if they are leaving water sitting in it after use (which is kind of gross--the idea of using water that's been sitting for hours to clean your mouth????). I can't imagine not using up the water anyway, it only takes about 2 minutes---the recommended time to brush your teeth, so I can do 2 minutes for each to get teeth THIS clean.

And you can always just put less water in. The reservoir is very easily lifted up so that you can run water into it, and dump out any left.

So, for the test, I used Listerine Smart Rinse after brushing and flossing; this particular product "shows" leftover plaque by clinging to it and helping to remove any left in your mouth---it turns color so that you see clear rinse with tiny colored liquid---supposedly the plaque. I originally thought the rinse didn't work, because it ALWAYS had colored particles when I spit out after brushing and flossing, no matter how careful and thorough I was. Well, after using the waterpik the first time, I tried the Listerine rinse again----not a single bit of colored liquid pieces, all of it was clear---proving to me that not only did the waterpik get at all the gunk in my mouth, but the rinse really did work. I won't really need it anymore (I originally bought if for my kids---they didn't ever use it, so I was just using it till it was gone) since I know the Waterpik gets it all so clean!!!!

As for how long it lasts---I don't know. But it has a 2 year warranty, and I would definitely buy another if I had to in 2 years."

:D

It really gets rid of that much more stuff than brushing and flossing? How do they work? How do they get out more stuff between your teeth?

I've always assumed it's a "Peace-of-mind" sort of thing. If you think they're cleaner, it helps you sleep at night.
Sort of like people who buy those UV antibacterial toothbrush holders that "kill bacteria". Little do they know their mouth has more bacteria than anything that toothbrush could possibly come in contact with.

So you clean it only with hot water?? i do plan on using olive oil, btw i use natural dish soap :D

Natural dish soaps are fine as are others. I use soap but I just never thought you were supposed to use harsh ones.

I looked it up on Google and actually cast iron are the ones you aren't supposed to use dish soap on. oops:eek:

You're fine no matter what, but teflon will release poisonous compounds over time after being exposed to high heat over and over.

Yes we have an entire Calphalon set of pots and pans.

We purchased them all relatively recently (1-2 years) so I'm not worried for now.

Its a great quality brand, just be carful after about a year its time to change those non stick ones. thanks for your help.

1 TB Western Digital My Book Essential Edition External Hard Drive.
(My MacBook's logic board failed recently, and before I knew what it was, I thought it could have been a disk issue, so I made myself finally use Time Machine. I didn't have to buy the logic board though, because I had something else done internally, and then the logic board failed the day after, so they replaced it for free :D )
