CHAOS STEP

Got quite a few things recently, but here are some I have pics of;

'NEXT LEVEL' New album from Ayumi Hamasaki - USB version which has songs and music videos in one partition (that you can't erase) and free space in the other. The USB stick is nicely made - it's quite heavy.

I picked up a copy of the Blu-Ray version of Akira, I'm quite the fan, so I also picked up one of the action figures (from a few years back) and a great art book too.

Next up, I adore the Japanese singer Salyu (she has an amazing voice (check her out on youtube)) , her latest album Merkmal is actually a 'greatest hits', but also contains a DVD with footage from a concert and is the reason I picked it up as there has not been a previous official concert DVD.

Finally, picked up a few bottles of beer, I am trying out Hobgoblin at the moment!.

For a mousepad, I use the Steelseries SX:

http://www.steelseries.com/int/products/surfaces/sx/information

It's a bit pricey, but it's by far the best mousepad I've ever used, and makes a big difference in twitch games like Quake or Unreal. Highly recommended, especially considering you just bought a $130 mouse. :p
Thanks. I was looking at Razer's Exmat but this looks better (and for the same price). Add the Steelseries SX as my latest purchase. :)

Finally broke down and bought one of the three lenses I am planning for the DSLR. A canon 50mm 1.4 prime lens. Cant wait to start playing with this! I got this picture from google...

You bought a lens without having a body to mount it on?
I've seen good pictures from this lens. You shoot fast motion stuff or something?

Bought stuff to make mojitos earlier today (including highballs). Had to go to 3 stores to find mint

The taste difference is very real. The normal version tastes like a chemical sugar. The sugar version tastes like, well sugar.

I guess that's 'cause I've been drinking said Pepsi for a long time. The Mountain Dew one is even more stark in comparison (I don't drink Dew very often)

2008 24" iMac

Brand new online with Parallels 4.0. Cheaper than a refurb and still free shipping to boot. Will be a welcome change from a MacBook Air which has been my primary machine since January.

Congratulations! I love how Tiger looked on those Aluminum iMacs. I've been using the grey Tiger wallpaper on my MacBook Pro. :)

I'm sure it tastes better for those who are used to the taste of pepsi. I have maybe 3 pepsis a year. I have tried real sugar coke before, though, and I could definitely taste a difference there. I'm certainly more familiar with the flavor of coke! I hope coke releases it here as a normal thing.

Early 2009 24" iMac. Kind of a spontaneous buy, but I've been drooling over it at work for a while and decided it was time. Great to supplement my MacBook. I'm really impressed by it, although it's going to take some time to get used to the huge screen!

Ha, no I have the DSLR already (since about December). I have a Canon XS with the kit lens. My main driver for buying this lens first is it should be great indoors where the light is usually pretty scarce. Its all an all around great lens for a lot of things as long as you have 10-15 feet to back up (at least in shooting people). I am trying to plan my lenses long term and I think It will be a lot more versatile on full frame when i eventually go that way.

Two hats:

A Nike running hat. It's one of those really floppy hats with no structure to hold its shape. It also fits my massive head, which made it hard to find, so I'm pretty excited about it. :)

The other has a plaid pattern with 2 lions stitched into it.
