Those run great don't they? Installing Leopard on them is a piece of cake, and no moving parts is an automatic +. Screen real estate leaves a bit to be desired, along with storage space but for a portable system they work fantastically.

I take back 5% of all the bad stuff I said about netbooks. Most still completely suck, but the Dell Mini's are kinda nice.

The Windows sticker will go. Yeah, luckily I can get a 16GB Sd card for under $30. It's going to be for going to class with most likely, so 32 GB's is more then plenty.

They make horrible file servers, lol. Very low storage, a little noisy, and slow. Might as well use a cheap Dell Optiplex mini-tower, at least its a Pentium 4 that is small and silent.

I have a PowerMac G3 and I was pumped when I got it a few months back until I realized I have absolutely nothing to use it for. Now people use it as a chair when my regular seating is all used up. It also makes a great step stool.

I wanted to make him feel like hes bought something useful xD your right they are pretty useless, ive had a quicksilver and sold it within 2 weeks i had but but hell i got it for free with really good specs as well and i really didnt like it xD, but i wouldnt know my file server is like a new custom built pc i use it for more than a file server as well xD:confused:

i got it for the wireless keyboard but i also have it on my mbp, and no because you i close the lid and use a display so thas the same thing.. there are no vents on the keyboard

I run my uMB in clamshell mode a lot and find that the fan kicks in big time running some processes. If I open the screen the keyboard area is very warm, but once open it cools down and the fans slow within minutes. I was under the impression that there were some sort of airflow channels under the keyboard.

you need to get a cooling surface i use a zalman aluminum cooler, it has nothing to do with the keyboard. yes it will get warmer if you close the lid thats just how it is.
gamers will even take their desktop casing off just so it will help get air in..

Well except that the air intake for the cooling fans are below the keyboard, with the exaust in hinge.

Close the lid or cover the keyboard and you're blocking airflow to the fans, and causing them to work harder, and the laptop to run hotter.

Getting a "cooling surface" only helps dump the (small) ammount of heat that gets wicked away by the case itself. The laptop is not a passive design.

Where'd you get it?

Also from Uniqlo Japan. They're selling video game shirts like Pac-Man, Mega-Man, Bomber-Man, and a number of Japanese games (particularly from the Nintendo NES era). :) The HK and US stores are both different from the Japanese store, and are different from each other.

Last year, they were selling t-shirts with old anime on them. I don't know anything about anime, but I bought one that I thought was nice anyway.

A "Key Pendant" from Tiffany for my girlfriend. It's one of the cheapest things in the store :p , but I knew she'd like it. Plus, it wasn't really for any particular occasion. Just a nice gesture before starting the new school year.

Saw Funny People this past weekend and sadly, one of the parts of the movie that stuck out were the speakers on Adam Sandler's desk.

Bought them on eBay...

I got mine a year or two ago, and I love them, as well. Great system.
