Well it wasn't really a purchase but I traded my revA macbook air for one of these guys.

Has a 2.33 c2d 150 gb hdd and 2gb of ram which those will be upgraded soon. Needed some more screen size and performance the air couldn't provide. :)

Hows that tri-pod? I'm looking to get a Manfrotto but have no idea which one to get. All I know is that I want one with a ball head.

I really love it.. with employee discount it was only $84 (as opposed to $130), but I think I would break down and pay $130 if need be. I know it's one of Manfrotto's entry level tripods, but the build quality and ease of use of this thing is phenomenal. Eventually I'll buy a better one down the road (where I can upgrade the ball head), but for now I'm totally satisfied!

Where did you get them from, if you don't mind my asking? All the distributors on Swans site seem to out of stock and I can't find them anywhere else.

TheAudioInsider links to OZ Home Theater as a place to buy them.

Currently out of stock, but Jon told me the improved "D1080MkII 08" arrives in a couple of days

They might not be on sale like this model. And knowing the AudioInsider, a couple days could be a couple weeks or months. Just FYI.

My Dad is a semi-pro photographer and my youngest sister is a budding shutterbug. Between the two of them, there are over 30,000 photos on the 250GB HD in their iMac. They are still using iPhoto and I thought this would be a great step up.

I couldn't resist so I just placed an order for the Barnes & Noble Nook. Don't worry, I still plan on purchasing an iPad. I may eventually pass the Nook on to my mom if the iPad's book reader looks decent.

How do you like that? I have seriously been through 8 photobags, and a timbuk 2 bag. There is NO one perfect bag, lol. I tried on (if that makes sense..) one of the LowePro backpacks (sling bag like what you bought), but it was too small..fit weird on me. I had the LowePro Rover AW (big black and yellow beast), but the top compartment was small, and it was tedious to unzip/zip the bottom part..

I decided to return it and I ordered the Lowepro FLIPSIDE 300. Although, now i'm wondering if thats going to be big enough...I might end up being like you and go through a billion different bags before I find the right one.
