Cheap Gateway, I'll get some better ones eventually but the Dell and Gateway ones I have now suffice.

maybe it's the weather here in socal... i've never had this problem with batteries and i don't understand why apple would load batteries like they do in the wireless keyboard, the whole back part should come off to prevent this problem

^^^I'd rather the expanding/fiery Lithium based batteries than exploding shrapnel from Nickel based. Puffed Li batts or exploding Ni batts usually happen from overcharging. With Lithium, its also dangerous to over discharge (below 20%). The weather should have nothing to do with it unless its getting over 140ºF (possible from direct sunlight but unlikely.)
I just ordered my 5th and 6th 1TB Seagate HDD to put into my home server.
I'll be going from a 4 drive RAID 5 (3 TB available) to a 6 drive RAID 6, which will get me up to 4TB on hand. But I will be able to sustain two drive failures, without going offline.
All of my next purchases are going to be expensive, so I'm into savings mode now.

I decided I've been without a mobile long enough so got a bog-standard PAYG Nokia today- a 2720. And, unfortunately, my iPod Touch broke this week So I bought a 16GB iPod Nano. I still want a Touch and, I suppose if I'm honest, I want an iPhone but I can't justify the cost with A) The new iPhone around the corner and B) Me trying to pay off a credit card and overdraft
