I wish I could get an ssd, but I would never be able to fit all of my stuff on it between mac and bootcamp.

True. I had to give up my Windows 7 install to save half my drive and
keep it free. I may install a 10gig partition though, but I am unsure. : )
When yo do go with something like an 80gig you do feel the ceiling a bit.
Especially going from a 500gig boot to the 80 like I did.

I <3 BootCamp.

Cool, thanks.

I'm planning on shooting HD video, but not "a lot".

What case did you buy? Do you like it?

I bought a Lumix case for a penny on ebay (+$6.00 s/h)...its a hardshell molded case. Also, I attached a "Priscillia" Adapter for Panasonic ZS3 which allows me to use filters, 37mm or us a step up ring to 52mm.

Honest to god it's worth it. 80 gigs should be perfect for a boot drive with key apps. I don't see myself going over 50 gigs on it in a pinch. The read and write is fantastic. The read and write times are awesome especially after the firmware update. I also noted about 20-25mins extra battery life. : )
So you swapped the computer's primary drive with the SSD?
That's just something I couldn't do... Newegg has the 40GB X-25 for $98.99. Just too small.

The keyboard has actually replaced another one that got beaten in number-crunching.

About the Wacom Bamboo... I wish that I either bought the first generation long ago or the current Pen&Touch. Operating a tablet, a keyboard, a mouse and a multitouch trackpad is a bit of a bore.

Thanks again..... that case looks decent. I'll have to see if I can actually get my hands on one at a store before I decide which to get.

I have bookmarked the Priscilla ring for future reference. Very cool.

I got the 80 gigabyte one for 230$. It is more than enough for what I
use it for. The OSX install, Adobe Creative Suite CS4, MS Office, and a few
small apps runs me around 38 gigs. Thats with a 3 gig iphoto library and
an install of warcraft 3 : ). I don't ever see myself going over that
because I don't need/want any other programs at the moment.

I do agree that 40 gigs is too small. 80, imho is the sweet spot right now.
Photoshop handling large images (I deal with 20-100meg images on
a daily basis) is a breeze now. So is loading all my tools. It's insane the
impact that an ssd makes.

On a side note, I got the Vyper case, loved it. Then my Speck Satin
Cover came and I noticed it won't fit in the Booq Vyper case.. sucks.
So I am selling the 45$ Vyper for 25$ right now on ebay lol.

AJKO. 1st release since the Original release in 1985. Just got them in the mail. Still trying to decide whether or not to clean the midsole.

just leave em they way they are. most times the wear and tear actually adds value to the item. or thats what they say on pawn stars. haha Lloyd

Nissin Di866 Professional flashgun for Canon.

Excellent flashgun, I had wanted a Canon Speedlite 580EXII but someone recommended the much cheaper (almost half the price of the Canon) Nissin instead. The build quality is nowhere near as good as Canon but it is a decent flash and key for me was that it would remotely trigger my Canon Speedlite 430EXII flashguns and this does the job beautifully. It also has a rather interesting pre-flash unit (immediately below the main flash head) which the Canon doesn't have.

That is nothing! I know a guy who bought an aeroplane! :p

I ordered some new goodies.

A 24 mm wide-angle eyepiece to replace the cheap 25 mm Plossl that the scope came with:

A nice 40 mm wide-angle eyepiece with a 2" barrel:

And a new 2" diagonal to hold it!

Unfortunately, new moon is next weekend, and I don't expect I'll have these by that time.
