That's a great question, anyone know why?
It should be only 8.25% I think.

You're in Cali. I read a while ago that you guys are taxed on the full unsubsidized price of phones. $599 x .0825 = $49.42 ;)

Reason #497 I will never live in California.

Nice revolver. The first handgun I ever shot was a .357 mag long barrel. I need to talk the wife into getting a new pistol/revolver soon. Oh, and paired with the frisbee, that's the best combo I've seen on this thread in a while, lol.

Yeah I just checked that out and it's true  Damn you Arnold!!

How could you not know this? It's really been this way long before Arnold. My first subsidized cell phone when I was 16 was likely taxed at full value. I know any phone I had from the Moto StarTac until my 1st iPhone was taxed in CA at full value. It certainly does suck but what a nice surprise when I bought my last phone and didn't pay as much. :D

But the D90 should make up for it, such a nice camera.

I've always been a huge Canon fan, but I've been looking hard at the D90 as my first DSLR. The one thing I'm worried about is getting it and having Nikon introduce the D90 replacement shortly after. It's due sometime this year I would imagine.

I guess I never paid attention really because I purchased two iPhones from Apple already and just closed my eyes and paid :p
Yeah I waited to long to get the D90 and it's worth it. :)

Exactly, I too thought about it but since the D90 has a great resale value, I just bought it.
