IIRC you are in Santa Barbara, so your choices are limited to 91 octane. Since California exports the gas it refines to neighboring states, you'll only find 91 octane there too. Your car will be fine with that octane rating unless you've done something to it that might prevent it from passing a smog test (cams, blower). By the way, I think 100 octane is the highest octane unleaded race gas available in this state. Anything over that is leaded.

Cliff and NickZac: Thanks for the info. Car passes CA smog just fine with 91(has to pass as a 95 525i due to the 95 engine, and does have M3 cams+ chip, made for this application, plus full M3 exhuast) I would like to use 93 octane when I take the car to the track or autocross events, which I hope to do about 8x per year.

Latest purchase was for the next 2 AutoX events in Santa Barbara and Camarillo respectively, in March and April. Thinking about signing up to track the car at Willow Springs in Feb, but current I do not have slicks for this car...and won't have slicks till the 2nd AutoX event.

If you display it, you honor it, and you sell it for the screwed up price. That makes me think negatively of both Target and Amazon and also makes me question how careful their online team is when it comes to proofreading and error-correction response speed.

Can't be absolutely perfect all the time. And if they can't honor it they can't honor it. If they don't have stock of those previous generation ps3s, then they just don't. What can they do then? Force sony to make more? The only thing they can do is refund people their money and apologize.

If it is that much of an atrocity, perhaps a class action suit?

^^^^There are absolutely no grounds for any sort of lawsuit.

I posted this in the other thread, but I'll post it here for you as well:

Here is info from the link that was provided in the email from Amazon about Target's pricing policies, which includes:

Confirmed Prices and Pricing Errors
We cannot confirm the price of an item until your order enters the shipping process nor will we charge your credit card until your order enters the shipping process.

Please note that your Order Acknowledgment means that your order request has been received; it does not mean that your order has been shipped or that the price of an item has been confirmed.

Despite our best efforts, a small number of the items on our Web site may be mispriced. As part of our shipping procedures, we verify price before an item is shipped out.

• If an item's correct price is lower than our stated price, we charge the lower amount and ship you the item.
If an item's correct price is higher than our stated price we will cancel your order and notify you of such cancellation via email.

There is also the issue of reasonableness. The $39.99 price was clearly not a reasonable price for a brand new PS3.

Osprey Raptor 14 backpack. :)

It's a bit small at 14 litres, but not tiny like some of the other hydration packs (they sell a 6 and 10 L version as well). The size is perfect for cycling. Also, the straps and back are going to be much better for air-flow so that I don't get a sweaty back!

They canceled my order. I closed my account. Not because the price was wrong and they canceled my order, but because they knew the price was wrong and purposely left that price up for hours and hours after knowing it and then refusing to do anything to make up for it. And their customer service was a joke. I'd rather pay more than to buy from them again.

Good, close your account because Amazon couldn't care less. I mean, what happened to this?

Same here. If they try saying they won't, i'm gonna complain until i do get it. It's one thing if the ad is wrong. The thing is, they've known ALL DAY it's wrong and they still kept it up. I'm getting a PS3 for $40.

You do realize that there is no reason to honor this pricing mistake, right? You lose more by closing your Amazon account than they do. If it was that important for you to make a stand and declare that you will get your PS3 for that price then it will be equally important for you to shop there next time there is another good deal. I'd bet money on it, let's say $40 and I'll cancel the bet in 2 days.

peapody what camera is that?
