Yes it was. Down from 10 hours on the 13 inch and down from 8-9 hours on the other models. Quite a noticeable loss.

No, I was under the impression that it was/is the same but now they test it under the new, more rigorous testing so its the same but now its really just more accurate.

How do you like it so far?
I'm thinking of getting one if/when they get released in the UK.

I guess you didn't get the netbook or HDMI dock?

I'm loving it so far. The pentile display is much better than expected. Text isn't jaggy like on many AMOLED displays. I still would have preferred a regular super lcd but it's still pretty good. The phone is really fast and impressive. Still photos aren't as good as iPhone 4 photos but it could be improved a lot with a software update. Some of this may be because I'm used to the really saturated photos and tap to focus of the iPhone. The Atrix tends to take more muted photos indoors. Video quality is excellent and as good or better than iPhone and will be even better with the 1080p quality update promised by Motorola. The fingerprint scanner is amazing and works great.

I haven't purchased the laptop dock yet but may in the future. I was kind of holding off to see if the webtop performance will be improved any with software updates. You can now purchase the laptop dock for as little as $329 with coupons directly from Motorola without contract or adding a tethering plan.

After using a few Android devices, I have come to the conclusion that the software is lacking when it comes to the still image processing.

Is it an AMOLED display? I thought it was a regular LCD with 960x540 resolution.

Does it lag at all? In menus or on the home screens?

I'd want 2.3 on it as well, the Nexus S has spoilt me there.

It's an LCD with RGBW PenTile matrix. AMOLED displays use PenTile which is why you sometimes see people complain of the "screen door effect" or jagged text. I think in this case the higher resolution is enough to lessen the jaggy appearance significantly.

I haven't had any lag at all. I can only imagine how well it would perform if/when it's updated to 2.3 or 2.4.

Doesn't that essentially mean that battery life has dropped? If the new figure is more accurate, what are you on about?

Also I noticed that on their "Compare Apple laptops" page, at least on the Canadian site, ALL of the laptops have an advertised battery life of "Up to 7 hours wireless web," including the 11.6" MBA, which decidedly is untrue. Hopefully they fix that soon.

Finally picked up that wallet, Surely. Except they don't make it with a leather clip anymore, but I'm alright with that. :)

Also finally found a sleeve for my MBA. I think it's ridiculous the tiny supply that Incase seems to funnel over here in Toronto. Only the Apple stores have them, and only a few in each colour. Nabbed the last black one at Yorkdale.

Also had, but took no photos of, some bubble tea from Tenren's and a huge plate of nachos and steak & chicken fajitas at Sneaky Dee's. Bliss.

I really like that wallet, may have to swing by the Coach store and pick one up! It's hard to tell from your picture, but do you have the black or chestnut/royal color variation?

Thanks!

No I think it mean that if like the old battery was tested under the new, more rigorous test that it also would've gotten 7 hours. So that battery hasn't changed just the test to check how much battery time you can estimate to get. Now this is the same battery just a more realistic battery life time, I believe.

:D Congratulations! Which model?

Congrats +1 looks like the 15" higher end model to me from the specs lol. I went to the store today like I said, but couldn't justify replacing my current one.
It is a first :p
I did have to buy an individual plan for my gf's tutoring kid today. He has an ip4 already but recently was kicked off his plan because he moved home stays so he need a new plan He is from korea so has no SS# needed to buy a plan. So I picked up a 16gb ip4 and sold his for profit :)
