I'm baaaaaack.
Been away from macrumors for a while due to a brutal Acute Care rotation in the Adult Internal Medicine Unit at a university medical center. Finished a tough week, and decided to treat myself to something I have been meaning to pick up.
Samsung Spinpoint 1TB 2.5" 5400rpm harddrive to serve as my media drive in my macbook pro set up. It's a real clunker so I hope as a media drive it will suffice. Was just $80 bucks, so why not?

Just that it is "slow". But some reviews say otherwise. It will just be sitting in my main HDD bay for all my tv, movies and music to be accessed periodically. Looking forward to more space for my beast of a mbp!

They were on sale for $7.50 with a $5 rebate. So, that's $1.25 per steak. They are just the little 6 oz'ers but still a pretty good deal.

Upgrading my 500gb to this 1tb. Already have a owc ssd in the optibay.
Just got a few more enclosures to clean up my set up! Each drive is a 500gb 7200rpm. The last one will be yellow and hold video games I think.
Just went grocery shopping and got these - not too bad! Snickers peanut butter. Not my pic!

can you put the 1tb in your optibay ? or is it better to put the ssd in the optibay ?
