Well I needed to get some kind of windows computer and didn't want a bulky box and tons of cords for monitor and keyboard so decided on an all-in-one but wanted one that would look good next to my cinema display so I picked up the Lenovo Ideacentre A300. Picked it up on ebay for $303 which was a steal!

Check with Microsoft, I heard they were giving out new 360 for broke disk drives, may be a case of telephone though.
Well, the guy replied back and swore that he was playing games on it right before he packed it up. So I'll see if I can do something.

Aw, that sucks, Krafty.

Sounds like 7on has a good suggestion.......I'd try that first.
Turns out I just needed to open the tray and give it a few blows (no sexual pun intended) and now it seems to be working.

So NOW I'm finally back in action.

And when you purchase said xbox, please buy Black Ops as well. I'd love to kill people alongside you :p

That would be fun. You could teach me how to be as awesome as you.:p

I have to figure out if I'd actually use the thing enough to justify the purchase. Which one should I get?

Smells so good!

Not sure why you'd want to smell like a dark, loud store.....

My last purchase... I sure hope somebody knows what this is.

... that LA Noire game looks really good.

I bought L.A. Noire the other day. I've only played about an hour or two but so far, it's really more of an interactive movie than it is a game, for me at least. Don't expect to be able to go exploring and do what you'd like. The game really holds your hand the whole time. The animation itself is still pretty amazing. Nevertheless, not the best $60 I've spent lately. :(

You should spend a little more time with it. The first 4-5 "cases" (maybe 2-3 hours) they hold your hand, but after that, the game really opens up, especially when you get to the Homicide desk and afterwards.

You can free roam, but yeh, you're not expected to have as much "fun" as in say, GTA IV by just driving around hijacking cars and killing civs :p

Gotta agree on the animations-- some of the best I've seen, and definitely the best in a free roam game by far. Definitely stick with it though. You'll see it's worth more than $60 after you get to the Vice desk.
