I was looking at some of these bikes on Fab as well. It's a cool site, but most things seem way overpriced on there. More fun to look at than to buy from, it seems.

Aren't all those bikes fixed gear?

For a commuter bike like those, I find $300 to be a pretty good deal. And they come with a flip flop hub so you can set it up to be fixed gear or single speed. I'm going with single speed, as I prefer to be able to coast tho.

Started with an online quote from them for $2100, liability only for 6 months. Thought, that's a little high, let's see what the others can do.

Geico: wouldn't even quote me, I called and their agents are all closed.
Progressive: quoted me $5113, I called them, they said "oh just go with 21st".
State Farm: wouldn't quote online, called and their agents were closed.
Allstate: same.
eSurance: online quote wouldn't complete as my wife doesn't have a license. Over the phone, it came to $4,200.

I ended up calling 21st, I said I thought it was a little high and he got it down to $1,910.

Still super high for a 2001 Ford Focus, but I can't register or use the thing without it. 8 years of accident free driving in the UK counts for nothing here!

What? Why so much for an 11 year old car? My 98 accord is less than 300 for a year.

I think because I'm 26 and only just got an American license last month. It sucks...

Still seems crazy. I'm 25 and like I said, mine is less than 300 for the year (full coverage, progressive). Do you have about 800 tickets or does your focus has over 500 horsepower? Those quotes seem insane to me.

Merkur 20C DE safety razor along with some Feather and Astra blades.

I've heard the horror stories of the samurai-sharp Feather blades so I'll take an each-way bet. I previously just used two-blade disposable razors which worked okay. Thought I'd try a DE one.

300$ for the year? Full coverage? So jealous, mine is about 600-650$ for basic state required coverage.

You'll never look back. DE shaving feels great. With a good bursh and cream its a great all around experience.

Also, don't worry about the feathers, lol. Yeah they're crazy sharp, but just respect that and the shave will be phenomenal. I tried Derby blades first and then switched to Feathers and the difference is pretty substantial. Such a smooth shave. Can't even feel the blade, it's awesome.

I got carried away this month. It all started with the Samsung Galaxy Note I bought a month ago and the past two weeks I bought the other three.

Samsung Galaxy S3
hTc One X
Google nexus

Thank God, Apple only have one iPhone. LOL

I don't know how long or if I'll keep all of them but right now I know for sure the nexus is my "back up" and the S3 is my favorite. The Pebble Blue is pure sex!! :p

I love waking up in the morning, thinking which android I will use that day.

Already have a good badger brush and swear by T&H cream. :) The disposable ones tug at the hair a bit, I don't like that. But even those are far ahead of useless electric shavers.

We'll see how it goes. :)

Might be also due to steviem's location too. (if near NYC, that is)

I just paid $20 to port my mobile number to Google Voice so I can still use it when I move to Japan in 3 weeks.

Yeah, I'm in Queens. The car is a stock ex-grandmamobile so basically still has its original rear tires... I even tried a quote for some other cars and a Camaro Z28, fully covered was slightly cheaper!
