New A/V stuff for the "lounge" in my condo.

A Tube Box SE II Preamp for the turntable, a record cleaner, and a new pickguard/prewired pickup set for my ailing Stratocaster.

New Watch!

Just got myself a Made in UK "Bremont" Martin Baker II watch :) This watch can survive an actual Martin Baker Ejection seat from a fighter Jet!!

I already have an iMac and iPad 2, but sometimes I need something more powerful to take with me. So found a late 2008 MacBook unibody at a bargain in mint condition.

It's only a 2GHz with 2GB RAM, but more than enough for browsing and normal work.

Also bought 4GB ram for it and this pretty one:

An Intel 320 40GB for the MacBook I just bought. Got it for $60.

Also, don't worry about the feathers, lol. Yeah they're crazy sharp, but just respect that and the shave will be phenomenal. I tried Derby blades first and then switched to Feathers and the difference is pretty substantial. Such a smooth shave. Can't even feel the blade, it's awesome.

Went well enough - no cuts. :) I'll try the Feather blades next time.
 
I'm leaving for Riviera Maya, Mexico in exactly 15 days. It's been an expensive weekend for me :D

An entire paycheck going in 2 days
 
It's been a pretty busy several days. I went out of town on Saturday with my mom and sister. I got to manhandle an Olympus OM-D at a small camera shop; but unfortunately, I realized I'm just not quite in a position to drop ~$2K on the thing and a couple lenses. I'll re-evaluate in a few months, and see if I can "cash it up" rather than put it on a credit card. Also snagged some great food with my family, and we stayed at a pretty nice Marriott and enjoyed the pool, and then shopping and hanging out in the afternoons.

Some smaller pickups over the last couple days; sorry if I've posted any of this already...

... and I'm getting ready! I snagged a green Smart Case in the chance that stores around here sell out in the coming weeks. I think I'm gonna snag my first iPad in early August during tax-free weekend. Can't wait!

So do you just decide every morning which phone you're going to use? How would you compare the one x vs. the nexus, which one would you prefer?
