It was an expensive week: :( :( :(

New on the bike:
> HED/Bontrager Aeolus 6.5 clinchers replacing Aeolus 5.0 clinchers which are ruined.
> fi'zi:k Arione VS saddle (my spare one)
> New right hood
> New right brifter
> New Ultegra chain
> New tubes (x2)
> Bontrager R3 tyres (x2)
> Repair costs from the dealer.

New on me:
> Giordana bib-shorts (my old Castelli ones were ripped)

All up, nearly $2000 worth. I'm fortunately uninjured except for a bruise on my right ankle and one on my thigh which is where I landed. Fortunately no grazing. I'm already back on the bike and loving it. It is running extremely nicely, very quiet rear hub (DT Swiss) and very, very fast.

And before all of that, $300 for a bike fit, and now a yearly membership with Athlete Lab in Sydney.

which is something i might do if it turns out it's not my cup of tea, it's my first android phone

i'm interested to hear what you didn't like about it though

Battery life is terrible, colours are washed out and no where near as vivid as the iPhone, the phone also feels cheap and plasticky. Its only after not using an iphone that i saw how inferior most things compare to it.

Better photos of recent purchase. The mother weighs 60 Lbs!!! Broke my back just getting up on the counter. This one doesn't get moved EVER!!!

Oh come on, harden up! :p Just think of all the wonderful, wonderful coffee you'll have instead. :) Nice purchase! Welcome to the club of coffee tragics. :D

My machine is a Nuova Simonelli Musica, and the grinder is a Gino Rossi CC45a (automatica). I'm loving it even more now I've had it for over a year. The thing is so well made and because it shares the majority of its parts with Aurelia (the big 2/3/4 group head commercial machine), any replacement parts you need to buy are really cheap and easy to buy.

Using these kinds of machines for home is overkill, but they just work so well.

Thanks mate! :) I'm enjoying it as well. I may replace the scratched up pedals later and get it looking completely pristine. That's the only other sign of battle damage. After that, I'll just save my money and perhaps go for another bike later down the track.

The LBS wants to get me on a Madone 5.9, but I'm not so sure. Maybe if I was paying the same price as their employees do I might, but not at retail price. I'll keep my eye out on 2012 models and see if I can snare one of those at a decent price, I like the look of those better than the boxy 2013 frames.

Or otherwise, I might go for a SpeedConcept TT frame.

Ah yes, an espresso machine. A super-automatic has been on my want list for a while now :)

This is not a super-automatic, it's a semi-automatic. I prefer to have more control over grinding, brewing, etc. than you have with a super automatic.

Currently I'm using a Rancilio Rocky for grinding, but in January I'll be getting an HG-one grinder. That one has huge (for a home grinder 83MM) conical burr system.

But I can certainly understand enjoying the convenience of a super automatic. :D

A hand grinder? Interesting. I've never used one - only ever the grinders with dosers on them. I agree with the semi-automatic versus full automatic. It's better to have more control over the machine.

If you take a look at the HG-one (http://www.hg-one.com), please don't look at the price.

My sick obsession with espresso is horrendously embarrassing. Remember, it's an illness...not my fault!! :p
