13-inch, Mid-2010 MacBook Pro
2.4 GHz Core 2 Duo
4GB memory
minor defects and an unpleasant keyboard layout
Nothing that can't be fixed, and a real bargain - even if you factor in a new battery and keyboard.

hmmm, ive noticed your from canada, funny you say that cause here in the u.s. cargo shorts at the knee are very common and the only people who use those long shorts at mid calf are girls which are known here in the states as "capri pants"
When you're old, and your brain is turning to porridge...you need all the help you can get!
What is that?
Ah I see that's cool. I always thought those key alarms were silly because if you lose the device to set it off you're still screwed, but if it connects to your phone that's pretty useful. It's a device that makes a bluetooth connection between my keys and my iPhone. If either go out of a pre-set range, an alarm goes off. There are a number of other features and ways it can be used...with a child, for example.
There was a sidebar story about the item here on MR a couple of weeks ago.

Caveat: it's a little expensive, but worth it for me.

Aeron Chair - Bought it from an "enterprising" dude in a parking lot... Brand spanking new... and less than half retail...
I also picked up a Just-mobile Head-Stand headphone stand, Alu-Pad mousepad and Fiio e10 USB DAC
That's done it...I have the Just-mobile Ipad stand, and the Lounge stand for my iPhone....I hadn't seen the headphone stand before...Must be new....It's off to Amazon I go..
