Frank and Oak summer shirt from their Escondido line. Kind of an impulse buy really - kind of a peculiar design but I got intrigued

btw if anyone wants a Frank and Oak invite, hit me up, we both get store credits :)

Very nice, what kind of bike if you don't mind my asking?

Nothing special at all, its just a Claude Butler Stoneriver mountain bike. Its not a serious bike, just something to ride in the local park with my little boy. Infact thats why I bought the rear view camera mount so I can film him riding behind me.

Mmmm....good stuff. I still have mine and refuse to part with it. Amazingly it's still holding up after all these years. As long as I have Mario Kart and Zelda, I'll never get rid of my N64.

I still want to rebuild a Dreamcast collection. One of my future goals after finding a couple more N64 games I miss.

Picked some new hardware today.

Promise Pegasus J4… its bigger than I was expecting, but then again it holds 4x 2.5" HDDs. The two issues I have with it are: (1) I have to use Disk Utility to implement RAID (instead of a built-in RAID controller for the price) and (2) it doesn't come with a Thunderbolt cable.

And the BlackMagic test for it yields good results…

Wow, that's very cool! I love the circle mounting layout. What raid level are you running?

Initially I did a RAID 0 of all 4 disks which gave me very good throughput.

That's before I figured out that you can created nested RAIDs in OS X, so now I'm using RAID 10. Read is up there at 800MB/s, but writes are now limited to about 450MB/s (incompressible data).

I'm using this for my photos and videos, so at the cost of performance I gain redundancy.

I found two more annoyances… I can hear the fan and the fact that I need to use mains power will affect the portability of this.
