Several boxes for gifts...and a few to stash away for myself.

If you don't mind me asking, what are you using all those for?

Converting my office to a paperless system. Out of 25 employees, my 4 Dr.'s will have full size iPads and therapists have mini's, everyone else are at workstations.

Also picked up a Fujitsu Scansnap iX500 scanner, that little ba***rd is quick.

Getting fed up with not having a proper iPhone mount in my Ford Focus so went for one from Proclip. My TomTom is a few years old and a pain to lug around. The maps are out of date and it doesn't hold it's charge well. Hopefully this will give me a better solution. I took recommendations from here https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/1539120/

Got a Seagate Expansion 2tb external USB 3.0 HD from newegg for $79.99 yesterday. I created 3 partitions for Media,Time Machine, and Macintosh Clone. So far it works flawless. I hope it's reliable..

32 gigs of ddr 1600 memory. I caught amazon on one of the days it was lower and jumped on it. saved myself about 40 bucks by waiting out the price hikes. Ran memtest all night. looks good so far.

because the 2nd gen is coming :D
still a great device though. Nice

coming when?

I just need a solution now, can't afford to wait 3-7 months on a rumor. The newer models aren't going to be able to perform anything more than what I need. They may have a retina screen and a quicker cpu but mine are locked down to one app that isn't retina quality and probably never will be.

Yes, definitely a cool little tablet.

My nephew LOVES the 64GB mini we got him at Christmas.

Most people who have a need won't wait around for some rumor to come true. Your tablets will perform the same even if there is a new release. Plus you can always upgrade if there is a show stopping feature your business needs. I think your decision was based on logic not some fantasy of having the latest and greatest.

You might want to hold onto it, since the PS4 won't be backwards compatible.

Technically it's not backward compatible, but, most of the platformers should make in into Sony's streaming library for the PS4, and therefore playable and perhaps a better experience overall.
