I must say... i was a bit ashamed of myself when i was going out of the store with the box in my hand. Me, buying a Microsoft operative system...??....

Man, its awesome. Im really starting to fall in love with the new interface, its pretty neat and it can be as clean as you want. all the shortcuts and gestures really makes it a good invest for a PC. Microsoft, has been making really good decisions lately.

For you it might be a good decision but in my opinion it was a stupid one for microsoft to do the sales of 8 are actually worse than vista's I have heard rumors that the blue update may put the start menu back in. My biggest thing is on non touch screen computers it should have been a choice between the modern ui or a start menu. The same thing with touch screen enabled computers it should have been a choice. Analyst have actually told business's not to go to windows 8 as it will slow production down .

Ok know back on track i bought a new/used pentiumd 920 for my dell optiplex gx620 running linux for a minecraft server the old pentiumd 820 both the same 2.8ghx was 2mb of l2 were the 920 is 4mb of l2 it has helped that server a lot

Oh man I'm jealous. I need to pull the trigger on that 840 Pro, but not sure is my 13 MBP i7 2.7 worth it.

Just did the upgrade last night, it is TOTALLY worth it. I don't know why I waited so long in doing it. My Mini has never been faster! Pretty painless install too.

I don't think I have as many problems with dirt, rain, debris and dust as you do, lol. I used to wear Wiley-X's when I was deployed to the desert. They did a pretty good job unless there was a really bad sandstorm.

Wow what a relative! My nephew gets a card and some cheap toy! Not only did you get him a mini, but the 64GB one.

My ONLY nephew and he's a good kid, has a career in mind, focused on college (@LSU 3rd year) does tons of reading (and movie watching) + by the time my wife got to some "private Best Buy shopping event, the 64GB model was the only non-cellular model left.

and not to stray too far off topic... I just picked these up this morning.

3 new, I currently have 3 others. A '10 an '11 and 1 more '12.

I am using them at my office, getting rid of the Dell's and DIY computers.

wall or arm mounted monitors and wall mounted mac minis take up way less space and it looks a little nicer and takes up less room.

I normally only buy stuff on iTunes (since thats where it ends up), but this deal was too good to pass up.

Not to mention WAAAAAY cheaper thatn iTunes

Having a ridiculously difficult time not buying that myself. Favourite series of my childhood, easily.

Picked this up for $10 last night. I passed some pretty harsh judgment on Skylanders without ever playing it because "they ruined Spyro" and stuff. I figured at $10, I might as well find out how wrong I might be.

Went with a group of friends last night to see the remake.

It's actually not so bad. Worst decision to see it with friends because there are too many scenes where we all broke down and started laughing at. I can't say I didn't have a good time though. It is a lot different then the original film, which is a good thing in its own way.

Is that movie good? I heard alot of mixed reviews.

Depends on what you're expecting from the movie. In the category of "turn your brain off action flicks," its a great movie. If you're looking for an action movie with great writing and acting, not so much. Either way, I enjoy it.

Also, if you have a surround sound setup, the sound is top notch.

I've honestly found myself slowing down on the gaming pickups the last couple months. Haven't had a chance to really play much of Bioshock Infinite, even though I freaking loved the three hours or so I did get in. I've just been working too much these last few weeks. But, gotta have clothes regardless of free time ;p
