How are you liking the Di2 so far? How's the shifting speed with rapid sequential shifts?
I'll be honest, it's too early to tell - I'm getting used to the different location of the "buttons" compared to the levers of 105 gearing previously - takes a while to get used to pressing the right one.
Tonight I went on my first proper ride with it, some laps of the local riding track and the industrial estate at night.
It shifts well though - no clanging chains and just about never a skipped shift. The shifts themselves feel very smooth and sure, you know the shift will work each time. It doesn't seem particularly faster, but it does the shift reliably.
The bike seems really fast, but the fit isn't quite right - the saddle feels slightly too high. I'm very aware that this has to be adjusted very carefully, once it is lowered, it can't be raised higher.
I feel it on my left leg, it feels like that leg is slightly over-stretched, and worse, I can't clip in easily enough on that side, where as on my old bike, I've got no troubles at all. It feels like I can't put enough weight on that side to get the cleat to lock in to the pedal quickly.
The calf muscle on my left leg also didn't feel too nice after a while of that - though it didn't give up.
All up, I'm liking the bike - and especially loving the way it seems so compliant over bumps. It's much more comfortable and smooth than my old Trek in that respect, and a good deal faster everywhere else.
Once I've got the fit right, I'll start pushing the speed up.
