I haven't really tried XBMC so I'm afraid that I'm not the best person to ask. Both of those have the current 512 MB model of Pi; I have the older 256 MB and it's a bit slow under Linux although everything appears to work. The hardware doesn't seem to change much (as far as I know, the memory increase is the only change so far) so it should be reasonably future-proof.

Thanks Nermal, have done some research since this post. I'm going to buy the Pi unit alone and then install whatever I'd like myself. It's a lot cheaper that route then eBay. They seem pretty popular and like they do hold up really well.

Hopefully a house balcony and not an apartment balcony. In most states you can't grill on apartment balconys. Something to do with fire. It didn't used to be that way. It is now though

I have never encountered someone with a house grill on their balcony instead of the backyard. Most likely an apt balcony. But some fire hazard laws differ state to state, so where she is, might not be prohibited.

bought a new camera for the summer... hope its ok...

It's been quite a while since I've purchased any Nintendo product, especially a handheld. Loving the game so far, and it feels good to have a portable console as well again :)

Purchase yesterday @ebay a back cover for my 4S. the back cover has been scratched during all the work done to build the house and fall 3 days ago and (of course) back glass is broken. can even see the inside of the beast.

Was debating for so long on this XL but decided on the regular blue one. However, on a better note this Animal Crossing installment is great!

1947 GPO 328

Bought this Bakelite GPO 328 telephone from Newark Autojumble yesterday and have been restoring and converting it to work on a modern BT line. It needs a new dial module and the original style handset cord, the curly black was added during maintenance in the 1960's other than that it works and has tested well.
