General rule. Keep your shutter speed higher than your focal length and you don't need VR/IS, really.
Example: Shooting a 50mm lens, shoot at 1/60th or faster and you're fine.

Yeah, if you plan on shooting in low light, then the VR will end up really being useful. But if you're in good light, it means that you can up your shutter speed and the VR won't be so important anymore.

Did the employee not realize that you can put a sticker on top of another sticker?

Since I drive a standard shift, I just couldn't imagine using my phone GPS anymore. If I get a text, I have to reach and cancel it out. There isn't a place on the dash I can put it to easily view or adjust, so it was just better to get a standalone one so I wouldn't have to worry about it.
(Lol, and the GPS screenshot below is in a location near me).
