More than often than not, I buy CDs. I try to avoid digital purchases, usually only for something I can't find a physical copy of.

Why? Because I can rip the CD into whatever I want, the quality is the best, and I have backup.

The day I stop buying CDs is the day they start selling music as mostly lossless (I know about HDTracks, but their selection is limited, and often more expensive than a CD).

All of that, plus you actually own the CD, to do with as you see fit unlike all the restrictions that come with digital downloads.

4th gen is almost here :(

I know there is always something about to come out ill still buy a gen 4 for another TV set or sell this one. I'm not rich but I can do 100 bucks. Wasn't sure if I would like the device so far so good very limited channels but AirPlay and home sharing kind of make up for that.

Ended up finding a Target with Monster Hunter in stock so I did their Buy 2 Get 1 free and returned the copy i got from Best Buy. I'll probably exchange Walking Dead for either Tomb Raider or Lego City though since it seems that the game will be on sale for quite cheap fairly soon.

Just ordered this for my iPod touch 4th gen:

Logitech S135i. Hardly the fanciest speaker dock in the world, but I didn't want to spend too much on something that would be rendered obsolete when I upgrade my iPod in a year or two.

My mid 2009 15in mbp really need a speed bump, so I bit the bullet and finally bought a Samsung 840 Pro 256GB SSD. Man, I cannot recommend this drive highly enough! Its like I bought a new laptop.

My old 320GB 7200rpm hard drive clocked in at 50mb/s read and 50mb/s write. After I put in this beast, its clocking in at 250mb/s read and write. Thats 5 times faster! Everything loads in under one bounce of the dock icon. Start up times went from 1min 48 seconds to under 20 seconds.

Granted my laptop only has SATAII, so I cant take full advantage of the drive (SATAIII compatible laptops can get upto 550mb/s read and write; insane!), but at least it's relatively future proof.

Peabody,
you convinced me to try a tenkeyless, and I thought I would try Cherry MX Blues as well...The decision was hard, but I thought it'd be nice to go as compact, but as full featured as possible. Vortex/KBT again seems to fit the bill for what I want. Looking forward to seeing which I keep. I think I may like this layout (still unsure about switches) the best due to its similarity to my 2011 MBA.

I do want some red keys though, too bad it has quite a few 1.25 sized keys, making them hard to find.
