I have these behind my monitor/desk too. They look great at night and didn't cost much to purchase.

What made you switch?
Goddamnit, you again with your awesome bike.I bought and installed flush mount LED running/brake/turn lights for my saddlebags on my motorcycle.

Android just lets me do more and have more control over my own phone, and the S4 in particular is just such a great piece of hardware compared to the iPhone 5. After being so happy replacing my iPad with a Nexus 7 It was a no brainer really.
You know what I just did? I waved my hand in front of my phone while it was just sitting there with the screen off. And it then came on for a few seconds and showed me the time, all my notifications, and battery life. I'm still not tired of that.
If you're interested I'll do a more detailed write-up about it in the alternatives to iOS forum
Yes please! I'm doing some research for a class.

I just ordered this laptop lap tray. I have a Logitech lap tray, which is very solid and comfortable, but the tray surface s so smooth that the MBP slides down the tray all the time when I'm seated in a chair. I'm sure some sort of jury rig fix could be applied to keep the computer from sliding, but for aesthetic reasons I prefer not to do that. (Fussy old putz, ain't I? )The laptop tray below, although less solid (according to the Amazon reviews), does have a bar at the bottom to keep the computer from sliding down, and it shaped so the vents are totally exposed, improving air flow and keeping the computer cooler. It's also quite inexpensive.
