My water supply is directly behind the washer (with a dryer on top of it), with about 2 inches of space to the left and about 6 inches of space to the right of them. Now I wish it was accessible, would be nice if it was on the side of the machine. I was checking out these flow sensors and they have a lot of bad reviews. A lot of shut offs when there is no leak. I wonder if there is a decent brand.

What??? I have had these hooked up to my washer for years and years with no shut-off or issue of any kind. You have to understand that many people have unstable water supply. Many people are on a well system. Many people have old pipes and low flow water supply. It all depends on the water supply of the house. Those flow sensors that are built into the braided flex lines work on stable water supply. Stable meaning stable water pressure. You have to have a constant pressure going into the sensor for it to work properly. I have seen washing machines spring a leak in the middle of the night. With the amount of vibration modern washers produce along with all the plastic inside, I will always have braided burst proof water lines with the flow shut-off built-in.

I have an early 2011 MPB, with the stock 4GB of RAM. I just downloaded the new iSTAT Menu 4, which sits on my Menu Bar, and noticed that even with my relatively light use, I was using about 95% of Memory, and with just 1 day, 10 hours of uptime, I had 288,000 of page outs...so I figured some more RAM was needed.

I bought 16GB of RAM and a tool kit. My MBP is much happier now.

Good deal. You should see improved performance and next to zero Page Outs now.

Also having an early 2011 MBP I'm considering the same upgrade, do you mind if I ask from where you purchased and what was the price paid for each? Thanks.

The first link is the chips, the second link is the tool kit, and the third link is extra replacement screws...just in case. I recommend the tool kit, or if you go another route, be sure to get a really good Phillips head #00 screwdriver...or you'll strip the screws. All bought off Amazon.

Thanks. I'll have to get #00 screwdriver at minimum, but have been leaning towards getting a toolkit as well. I didn't know that the screws were available from anyone but Apple, that's good to know in case they're needed.

got any impressions to share?:)

Speeds seem to be really good while making a rip of my blu rays. I'm on a early 2011 MacBook Pro so all of my testing is over usb2. dvd and cd playback is working perfect. I did own a Samsung blu ray burner (sucked), I would recommend this drive. Build quality is also much better than the samsung.

With what I have done so far, I would give this a 4 out 5. Can't wait to test the speed on usb3 with my new macbook air that is going to be here tomorrow

Just got a brand new 13" MacBook Pro! Completely baseline, non-retina, but it's better in every respect compared to my late '08 15" MBP. I love it! I'm not gonna include a pic because y'all have seen it a million times ;)

Good job buddy, I knew you could do it...you have passed that first hurdle of opening up your Mac....now if you need to get in there to clean etc. it won't be a daunting task anymore.....:)

Thanks, Mate.:D

Surprisingly, when I opened it (the first time since purchased) it was completely spotless. Even though it was clean to the eyeball, I carefully blew some compressed air over the entire insides, and nothing blew out.

It's now much smoother running...no lags, no brief freeze ups, no beach balls...even for a light user like me, 4GB is not enough.

Probably should have bought this during the Steam summer sale, but totally dropped the ball on that one. Mainly because I just found out about this game. I played the demo and discovered I'm terrible at it, so these little Kerbalnauts have no idea what disasters are in store for them, lol.
