To correct you though, the Moto X does not use carbon fiber, only a look-alike, although poor.

I must insist that it is in fact a genuine carbon fiber/kevlar shell. It could be just a thin veneer to keep the cost down mixed in as a composite. Motorola is known for making other devices out of the stuff too, but for some reason it isn't mentioning it when it comes to the Moto X. Most likely to give the DROID branding a more interesting backing as a marketing strategy hehe.

I'm with you on that one. But I did own the Moto X for a while, and now I have the Nexus 5. I think the N5 is overall a better device, especially for the price. Though, I will have to give the Moto X's carbon fiber construction more brownie points.

Honestly, I'm still split between them...

Really like the feel of the Nexus 5 compared to the 4, but haven't used the Moto yet. Heard nothing but good things about the form factor, and people are raving about the active notifications..

What made you switch?

Switch?! I can't switch, iOS is a lot more important and organic to me. I still use a 5s, but have a white Nexus 5 as well and I really like it :) There's no question the N5 is a superior device compared to its predecessor which I also owned and really disliked.

Haha, no I feel the exact same way. I use a 5s as my primary phone as well. Just use android for developing/testing and generally just messing around with android.

I meant the switch from the Moto X to the Nexus 5

A number of ROMS will give you that feature on many phones. I have PACman rom which features Paranoid Android, AOKP and Cyanogen features, which of course includes active notifications on my LG G2. I know the N5 also can be flashed with this Rom, or CM which includes it.

New Food Processor for my Mom for Christmas. She's been ever so subtly hinting that she wants a new one for quite some time. :p

Sadly no, it's too heavy for it to fly normally but it will lift it up at full throttle. From what I read, people are using the $90 Mobius Action Camera which shoots good quality full HD footage and it works with the Alias. Here's a comparison between the GoPro Hero3 Silver edition https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oqQ77nXSfVw It's pretty great as you can tell. In daylight, the Mobius is as good as the GoPro Hero3 in terms of IQ, but in sucks in low light.

That Mobius looks interesting... only $90, that's the price for a few GoPro mounts!

Got to keep your guns safe and your children safe from guns. A win-win.

Right, so you keep your children in the safe. Makes sense. :D

OK...you piqued my curiosity...

I want to ask what you keep in it...but I won't.

What is killing me to know is where you keep that dainty little item in your house!?:eek:

It's in his office (3rd door from the right as you come in the front). Your best point of entry though is through the back door as you can't be seen from the road. Combination is 1-2-3-4-5-6. Happy days.

40% off each and $50 off $150.
Total would be about $300, but got it down to $115 :D
