I haven't picked up yet, doing it this Saturday but its a early 2011 17" AG MacBook Pro. So excited, the MacBook Air just hasn't been able to do the demanding things that I through on it.

I getting a bargain of a lifetime on it from my teacher and its always been one of my dream machines.

Jvc gr c1

My latest purchase is a JVC GR C1 from 1984. Many of you will probably recognise the camera as it features predominatley in Back To The future Part 1. It is a rather legendary camera as well, being the first "true modern" camcorder, combining the recorder and camera into a single relatively small at the time package.

I got it for a steal £55.00 with travel case, RF unit, charger, wide angle lens, bigger external JVC mic and manuals as well. I've seen them sell sometimes for closer to £200. I can't wait for it to arrive in the coming days its gonna be "the" addition to my camera collection. They even sell new batteries for it so bought a replacement battery to use it and get that dated 80's video effect :p

Heres a picture of what it looks like

Wow! What did that cost when it was new back in '84?

This year is the 75th anniversary of the Beano comic in the UK. Raleigh are celebrating by producing 410 special edition Choppers.

An iconic cycle covered in iconic comic strips - and I mean COVERED!

Mine arrived this morning - hurrah!

I would never ride it, BUT I WANT ONE - had three when I was little - Grey (space grey perhaps), orange and purple.

This just came in yesterday, $99 on black friday so I couldnt resist. Probably won't install it until I get some memory too. Also got a 23" Dell Ultrasharp but it's for christmas and should have a monoprice graphic tablet tomorrow!

What did you knot like about it? I have two coworkers who own them and love them.

My buddy owns and loves one as well. He uses IOS which I have read is more limited but syncs better with pebble. I use Android however, and just did not like the experience. The watch froze numerous times and i felt like It was better to just take my phone out. I was also not a fan of the display. However, I must say it is cool and the best on the market ATM. I am looking forward to future iterations though!

I think it was in the region of around £2,000 in the UK back in '84 the equivalent of £5,500 in todays money. Or about $8800 :O. It wasn't a cheap thing. I guess the built in tape unit made it expensive. Before this you often carried a satchel type thing with the battery and tape recorder unit that connected with to the camera with a cable.

I got the 4TB version which will add to my existing one bought earlier this year.
Got it in the morning for $119 and it went back up to $169 in a couple of hours. Glad I jumped on it. Great price for a great drive.

Did you receive it yet? I am pondering the Seagate drive for a USB3/Thunderbolt solution as a portable drive between my old Mac Pro (at office) and newer iMac (at home). Last Seagate drive I got (some BlackArmor I believe) was quite loud and I returned it for a WD. Would be nice to have that as a large backup solution.

Overhauled my portable audio setup and I'm loving it. iBasso DX50 audiophile DAP and Bowers and Wilkins P7 headphones.

Wow, that looks an interesting bike. I wonder if most owners will ever ride theirs or will they will be kept either as pieces of nostalgia or for future resale value?

After getting delayed by UPS for some sort of "operation disruption" or whatever, my new iPad arrived! This is actually my first iOS device that has a lightning port. Damn this thing is light! The screen itself seems cheap and flimsy though, not sure if I like that. But it's blazing fast, and I do like that.

Finally i gathered enough money to buy this, after all this years wanting one!
Tokina 11-16mm 2.8 DX2 - Canon mount
Bought it on Black Friday in the french amazon for less than 2\3 of what is usual costs!

That's AWESOME (huge BTTF fan). What type of tapes does it use? Would be great to see some sample footage!

Logitech Z623 2.1 200W Computer Speakers

I'm going to use them for my gaming machine. From what I've read it seems like they are pretty good bang for the buck. The cheap Logitech LS21 speakers I have now are breaking; every time I adjust the volume knob the speakers emit a loud 'screeching' sound that is extremely annoying!!

It uses a VHS-C Cassette essentially a smaller VHS tape, but with a £13.00 adaptor it can be played inside a conventional VCR, although the cassette is smaller it still uses VHS tape inside. I plan on filming Christmas this year with it, to give it that retro 80's look and feel LOL.

my girlfriend did the same thing, replaced her 4S with a 5C and she honestly couldn't be happier with her phone, its buttery smooth with iOS 7 and the battery life has been nothing short of superb for her

Should be home today, finger crossed, cause I won't to spend the weekend with the old motorola backup phone lol

Mine's going to be mounted on the wall for decorative purposes, and possibly resale value long-term. From what I've read on other threads, I think a lot of these are being bought by nostalgic adults. I've got an original mk2 from the seventies which I'm currently selling on eBay. It's only been ridden once (last year, for the first time) so I'm expecting a good price for that. I got this one as a replacement.

itty bitty likkle cwismas twee

(miniature crimbo tree for the coffee table).

When you have a pack of bengals (like we do); a full size tree just isn't a good idea, so I got this one just to make the lounge a little more festive.
