finally pulled the trigger on this...
funny thing about the colour, none of the carriers/stores over here has it in silver/white for some reason. the only 32GB model available was graphite/black, so i had to settle for the gold/white - which was very scarce if in stock at all! i had to wait from launch to now just to get to pick something other than black.

Is the LP a studio? I openly admit being a bit of a guitar snob, but that is one great looking guitar. Looks better there than any press I've seen from Gibson or a reseller!

Thanks! And yes, that is a Les Paul Studio; I've owned a couple of Les Pauls in my lifetime, including a 1976 Les Paul Custom (Black Beauty) and this "cheaper" Studio is the best recording LP I've ever owned. It actually surprised me! And it's much lighter than any LP I've ever owned as well.

Well my external 4TB WD disk arrived safely today. Nice DHL man

Jeff and I have benched it (nice steady 150MB/s read and write over the USB3) and now its backing up the 3.4TB data that it was purchased for.

Nice metal enclosure - heavy and matches the iMac perfectly. Very happy purchase.

Also got my very first Kindle (the basic paperwhite model) - so far I am impressed - nice and easy on the eye. Got a LOT of books to catch up on.....

The Art of Captain America: The Winter Soldier > pre-ordered for half the cover price. I hope this book is something vaguely like the Weta Hobbit Chronicles as far as scope, excellent behind the scenes imagery/art etc.

I also replaced my copy Green Arrow Year One (that always walks when I loan it to people. Glad I can get another hard copy) and pre-ordered the first trade of Jeff Lemire/Andrea Sorrentino's Green Arrow (The Kill Machine.)

Even though I buy some digital comics, I still prefer reading floppies.
