For all you fountain pen folks (whose collections I admire, having only one myself)...this is the next step.

For the slightly more than occasional personal note, and more occasional letter...sealing wax, stamp, and a fairly successful first attempt...

That is awesome, did you order it from JetPens? If not, where did you get it?

Thanks...it was really amazing that I got it mostly right the first time. Fun...:D

I ordered it here. The wax is J. Herbin Kings Sealing Wax...it is flexible, so it can be used on the outside of a mailed envelope without cracking in the mailing process. It's a bit more expensive than some of the other waxes, but I like the fact that it has a wick. Using a wick less wax stick requires a small torch or long handled lighter, and more skill than I have.

A pen? Like a Wacom tablet maybe. I think my dad used to real use pens back in the day. :D

Yup, just like your dad used...who is undoubtedly younger than I! And in case you're not clear on "paper", it's a product made from wood pulp. Then there is this process called "writing"...but that's too complex to discuss here. :p

Neither did I.:p

I saw someone using sealing wax in an old Errol Flynn costume movie, and thought that it was cool. So I googled it and, much to my surprise, there are a whole bunch of stationary sites that sell stamps and waxes! The site where I bought some personal note cards didn't have it, and after a lot a looking, found the site linked in my earlier post.

For all you fountain pen folks ...
Speaking of which, this lot was just delivered today (if I start using sealing wax, my wife may have me committed:D)
Noodler's 54th Mass. I really like their bulletproof black and really like this color, so I'm happy to add a bottle to the collection.

I'm aware of paper. It lives in the bottom of the printer!

And yes my dad is only 67 so much younger than you:D

I got a set for christmas ...but don't have any fountain pens :p

I got this a few days ago from Ob81. This nice macbook air 11" 2013. INCREDIBLE battery life. What a machine!

I just received this in the mail, and finally finished putting it on my machine. Black Matte vinyl keyboard stickers to protect the keys without having to use a keyboard condom :p. I wear through keyboards quickly, so this is nice to prevent that wear for resale.

Very nice! Where can one get one of those? Wish I would have known they made these when I got my backlit keyboard for my elitebook.

Chrome phone pouch for my Metropolis bag. Need a place to put the phone when I ride so that it is somewhat accessible.

Hey...Hey...

Vynil!

Wonderful to see non-digitized recorded music still exists!

Takes me back...:D
Same here. The only issue that I feel will arise in the future is storage. However I've treated Vinyl by only purchasing my most favorite or the ones I almost always sit through in their entirety. So maybe that storage issue won't appear for a while. ;)

Got it from eBay it was sold as spares & repair (even though its mint condition externally) I plugged it in out of curiosity and it booted to a floppy disk prompt. I bought it to gut and fit a Mac mini & LCD inside it, but now with the overall excellent condition and the fact it switches on I'm wondering if I should get it working as it is? it just seems wrong cutting up the case lol

Got it from etsy. Just search for keyboard stickers and you will see a ton with different designs. You can also ask the sellers to make you custom colors if you want.

I approach vinyl the same way collector myself. I only have about 300 in my collection but they are all carefully curated so contain only my favorites. Makes me treasure them more.

10 x meat pies delivered to my door later this week from The Real Pie Company. They claim to make them the day before despatch. Never had them before so looking forward to trying them with mash & peas...

My gaming rig decided to have some fits this week and being that it was about 4 years old it was time for a refresh. I picked up the following toys to make it better.
