How could I say no to an offer like that? :p

Well, I'm just sayin' is all. :D To each their own really with beer. I'm not that much of an douche to **** on someone's choice in beer. But I'm always willing to try and share the wealth of yummy beer.

A 1999 Saab 9-5 Aero with a completely knackered engine. There is a fist sized hole in the block. Just pulled a random pic off the web. I haven't picked mine up yet.

I need the running gear and rims for my 9-5. Got forced of the road by a pig that didn't know how to drive. Hit a rock the size of a football with my right rear tire. Shot my rear suspension to hell and back.

Oy vey; very, very nice indeed. Lovely choices; enjoy them.

Actually, I'm a big fan of maps, both old and new; they are fascinating, extraordinary educational tools, exceedingly instructive as to how the cartographer in question viewed the world at the given time the map was made - and not only in terms of nautical and topographical accuracy - and, very often, physically, a pure joy to look at. Moreover, they are great in the classroom or lecture hall, too.

Indeed, one of my presents to myself this past Christmas - something I had promised myself for years - was a brand new massively solid edition of The Times Atlas of the World.

When abroad, one of the things I sometimes buy are antique maps - I love them. Anyway, I really love the older ones (while averting my eye to the known lack of complete accuracy…) - lovely selection and I hope you enjoy them.

Got my learners permit yesterday after taking the test for my 3rd time... I've already driven more than one of my friends who's had his for 6 months or so, my mom basically is using this as an excuse to not drive herself. That same day, I got to ride in my dream car, a 2014 Corvette. Didn't get to drive it, who would let a 15 year old who's been driving for a day drive that thing... plus it has a manual, and I don't know how to drive one... yet.

The fountain arrived yesterday, and the "absinthe tray" (you're not allowed to use the tray for any other purpose!) have arrived.

So this is Absinthe Corner....

Thanks! I like the century's old maps too. I like seeing how the cartographers viewed the world from their surface level only view.

Plus I think a globe makes for a really cool decoration in a room too.

My grandad used to have a wooden globe drinks cabinet years ago. I remember as a small child reading all the strange place names. I wonder what happened to it?

Ah, how beautiful……..bliss. Exquisite. Now, next up is a little tasting session followed by a review the hallmark of which is absolute total clarity of what was consumed, filtered through the haze of memory, the voice of experience, and the idealised perspective of reminiscence…...

Agree completely. I actually have a few old maps, (bought in the UK and Sweden) and have been browsing the website of an old map shop in Bath, (which I visited a few years ago) with a view to adding a few more. Maps on a wall are very classy, and I am a big fan of a nice globe, too.

Oh, and I have a few rather nice tapestries from Bruges, again from a few years back; one is a fetching tapestry of medieval Bruges (canals, ancient houses, etc - very fetching); the other - with a stunning backdrop in black - is of a group (I almost wrote 'gang') of medieval monks merrily picking a grape harvest, treading the grapes, drinking and producing wines, all the while chuckling with expressions of pure glee, looking as though they are thoroughly enjoying themselves….some day, that will live on the wall of a kitchen and/or dining room…..

I also buy art work in many of the interesting places where my travels take me, so I am putting together a nice selection, with little in common except that I happen to like them. Unfortunately, for now, most of these pictures, old maps and indeed, the two Bruges tapestries are still packed away, rather than on walls which is where they should be.

Consider who lives in the house!

:p

Ah, but what taste, what verve, what style…….

I bought tickets to the Detroit Comic Con for next month. I've never been to one so I figured it was about time. Shatner is supposed to be in attendance too.

Not sure what color your car is, but if you are covering white, you will want to use Gunmetal Grey, almost like a primer, to help with the coverage. I dipped the spoiler on my white car, and this was a huge help.

Metallic silver, and it actually took the recommended 5 coats to come out with a solid finish. No need to put down any sort of base coat before with this Plasti-Dip when using colors like black and gray.

Happy early birthday to me. The case arrives on monday though

Took T-Mobile up on their iPad deals. I wanted one again after selling my iPad 4 a few months back. Also bought a Spigen Slimbook.
