Okay so here it is. The Bellroy Hide-and-seek. The leather is very smooth and soft; I love the smell. Quality is superb, I don't see it falling apart like my last wallet which was held together mainly by glue. The stitching is flawless and the leather feels like it will stand the test of time with very little scratches/scuffs. Overall I am very pleased.

If you're in the market for a new one, I highly recommend Bellroy. :)
Don't the advertisements reflect our individual internet browsing patterns and history? ;):D
Yes. But I would still get advertisements for Bellroy wallets even after resetting safari. :)
I'm sort of the same way. Wallets have never really been something worth spending such luxury on, in my opinion. I've been using this wool wallet from Etsy for nearly 3 years now and it only cost me less than $20 altogether..
Typically neither would I, but I was accepted to University of Illinois - Chicago yesterday so I decided to buy myself something nice. Plus it's time for a grown-up wallet. :)

Note: I am also not a paid shill for Bellroy. Just a satisfied customer.

Same, but I'll spend a bit more on a nice watch or something :)
I couldn't blame ya on a nice watch, I'd love a nice one for myself as well. Wouldn't know what brand to look out for however. :p

In no way to i want to discredit Bellroy, i think their whole design ethos is fantastic and forward thinking.... however, i had 2 of their wallets and both looked awful after 2 months. Not sure if its down to leather quality - i am pretty tough on my wallets. They have great customer service as they posted me a replacement after i complained my original had started to fall apart (stitching) and looked awful... plus left leather dye all over my cards. I went back to my Mulberry walletthat i had used for 3 years previously. Yes at about USD 300.00 its a lot of money, but still looks great to this day. Sometimes you really do get what you pay for.

Wife got me a Bellroy Note Sleeve after I passed my first board exam. This wallet is seriously nice. She initially got me the Hide and Seek, but it was too bulky for my taste. (The hide and seek was incredible though, if you like larger wallets with TONS of room, that's the one for you) The Note sleeve is just perfect.

Edit: Whoa...I didn't see the Bellroy post up top. I am not a paid shill for the company! As to the leather, it is very smooth and supple. Definitely a nice wallet. We'll see how it holds up.

I had a fossil wallet that left my cards and ID cards dyed. I this has made me consider a Dosh wallet in the future. I have leather Coach wallet that left a little bit of dye on my cards as well but not as bad since the slots that hard the cards are made of a different fabric.

And got some Performix Plasti Dip matte black spray to stealthinize my chrome badges on the car, and maybe even the spoiler if I have enough left.

Not sure what color your car is, but if you are covering white, you will want to use Gunmetal Grey, almost like a primer, to help with the coverage. I dipped the spoiler on my white car, and this was a huge help.

I have acquired this here to replace my iPhone 5:

Why anyone would want to do that? Because after using this for two month, whatever may be announced at WWDC: It'll likely wow the bejeezes out of me.

If you are insane enough to actually compare this to an iPhone (people actually compared the Google G1 to it, so why not), it gets kinda interesting.

xFXAj3H.jpg

Excuse the potato.

First of all, it bears a remote similarity in appearance, as it's merely .8mm thicker, weights two thirds of an iPhone 5 and is obviously a rectangle. It's not really that much smaller, but it feels quite diminutive.

Unlike the the iPhone 5 (or a 5.5" iPhone for that matter), you're not constantly reminded that you're carrying a big pane of glass around. And it is so light that you don't even notice it when you're moving around. It is completely unobtrusive in your pocket.

If you mind the bezels and the aspect ratio of the screen on the iPhone 5, a phone of this size could exactly house a 3.5" screen.

As to what a '3.5" iPhone' wouldn't do as good as a 4" version, the answers the same that goes for the iPhone 5 vs the iPhone 6: I have no remote idea. It'd work flawlessly for phone calls, as well as music (the iPod Nano proves that), navigation, relaying informations from the telemetry of your body or whatever the proper terminology for that is, photos and movies depending on the sensor, any app that has lists or is mostly text, and also "lighter" games. The only exception may be web browsing, but the "real internet" is not that great on any 16:9, small form-factor device to begin with. Also the portrait keyboard would be rather small, but the iOS keyboard is so good that it knows what you're intending to type by merely looking at the keys.

Long story short, I don't think that a big screen is an essential property of a great smartphone. As an iPad owner, I'd much rather prefer the option to have something unobtrusive rather than another large screen device, of which I have already more than enough.

And it's also a phone which someone (at least I would) picks up at $350 off-contract. Not a 8GB iPhone 5s.

Sorry for the long post, I may've gotten carried away a little.
