[doublepost=1481928424][/doublepost]Black Lizard is shaping up to be one of my favorite utterly bonkers Chu Yuan Shaw Brothers movies. I just found one of the posters for a price I could swing. Well below what Shaw Brothers Uni would ask and right in my budget.

decided on the Select Spidy over the Legends Spidy which has a darker blue and didnt like the upper body. this one is better, the only thing its alittle taller. did a scene with the brick backround and the Punisher. will be returning the legends figure. had to drive 45 mins to my local comic store for this one, totally worth it

Purchased Ultimate Spider-Man episode, "The Moon Knight Before Christmas"

I happen to love the animated Doctor Strange on Disney's Ultimate Spider-Man series (since he debuted 4 years ago) so it was a huge treat to realize he also appeared in last night's episode alongside Moon Knight. While the humor on Ultimate Spider-Man skews rather young, I was laughing pretty hard throughout and the fourth wall snipe at the end was hilarious. So for all my crank about Marvel Comics not getting Doctor Strange right, at least the animated and live action Marvel folks are creating content that is respect to these characters. I hope DS and MK return for future episodes once the series is retooled.

You can buy the episode on iTunes like I did. I was happy it went up so quickly. And I was perfectly fine with the tweak they did for Moon Knight here given his complex psychology. It was nice to see him have powers again too (beyond the usual Lazarus resurrection thing he does in the comics).

not really happy when Disney bought Marvel but they are doing one thing rite, they are giving more exposure to the not so popular super heroes and villians in their cartoons like in this case for example...

For the most part, I prefer the now Disney-i-nified versions of these characters (animation and live action) because they're closer to the source material than the comics now.

EDIT: bought christmas cards and lotto scratch offs, we're going extremely easy this year (although I already paid a bill for mom so...).

really? the reason i say that is cause Disney is 'dumbing down' or 'watering down' the Marvel universe due to their audience being little kids. they take a character from marvel and take out all the dark themes in the story line, take off bad words and dont forget they take off the sight of blood, just like they did in the Prince of Persia movie. plus i hate when they draw the marvel characters with that Disney Infinity style, very simple drawing style, makes the artist seem lazy but they do that to target little kids. oh well, money talks. thats why George Lucas (star wars) and Stan Lee (marvel) have sold their franchises and made millions and dont care what Disney does with their charcters now...

Now Disney Infinity, I am not a gamer but I've seen the designs and agree with you on that and I understand what you're saying.

After Ed Brubaker and Jonathan Hickman left Marvel, the only character I've stuck with for a long time that I can still recognize and read is Moon Knight (though they are
consolidating his identities going forward...which is fine as long as the character keeps to his core
. I do not need everything dark and gritty.

One of the best things about Doctor Strange was how colorful and hopeful that book was in the face of such adversaries like Dormammu; the movie and U S-M cartoon reflect that. Now in the current comics, Strange is a whiny emo who has lost most of his ability to use magic and is back to being an arrogant blowhard. The Editors like their street characters and aren't into magic or mythology (which is why Jason Aaron has systemically destroyed both in the last 3 years in the Marvel U).

While my preference for certain characters leans towards toward dark and gritty, I also want fun, escapist and light. The movies do that while still retaining enough of the characters to recognize. Ultimate Spider-Man skews VERY young, but I am perfectly okay with Spider-Man and Moon Knight cracking on each other (especially when the ending was so hilarious). Right now, I'm reading Moon Girl & Devil Dinsoaur (which feels like classic Marvel to me) and Moon Knight.

My latest purchases are food and lottery tix & holiday cards to be followed by new glasses tonight before the bucket o' popcorn while seeing Rogue One.

Do you have this one as well? Tired of not doubling up clothing because I don't think it's cold enough outside and then find out I'm wrong after being outside for 30mins.

No, I don't. But its more than likely nowhere near warm enough for winter.

just got my first knife from Murry carter here in portland he is a master Japanese blade smith seems the perfect size I needed something between my Japanese paring knife and my Chinese cleaver. desert ironwood handle I spent more then I wanted as the other I wanted was 150 and this was 265 but I fell in love with it. since each one is unique and this may be the last kitchen knife I buy. I was going to go pick it up as work was slow because of the weather but they shipped it that day.

I didn't feel like I needed the extra power or features of the iPad Pro (which was around 250 euros more expensive) for my use, which is mainly social medias, browsing, reading comics and watching movies & shows.
