No.

Nor did the resistance.

I called in today to check on it- the original plan being to treat myself after my scheduled visit to the dentist next Tuesday.

However, an enquiry to the owner revealed that they only had one left; I had read reviews yesterday (raving, ecstatic reviews from people who had bought this) and thought, 'sod it'. So, credit card was produced, and that was that.

Not only is it beautiful (which it is), handmade - which I love, and - according to the reviews, will allow for the making of quite delicious coffee - but it is exceedingly light, (I love portability) and fairly small. This means that It Can Travel With Me - always a relevant consideration for me when buying something of the sort.
I'm not sure wood would (no not Edward!) be my material of choice though. The copper one sounds a bit easier to clean to my mind.
I love the look of copper.

I love the look of copper.

The copper one (and I have a ceramic one) are both easy to clean, and both make excellent coffee. I love copper - some of my cookware is copper.

Now, the wooden one is handmade, (by Yasukiyo) and the method by which it is made, seems to have allowed it be able to cope with heat and to hold its shape.

Reviews had raved about these qualities, so I felt fairly safe in making the purchase.

Well I've been considering these headphones for a while.
Decided to get them before the January price increase.

The - er, enthusiasts - in the relevant threads here seem to swear by Audio Technica, Grado, or Sennheiser.

Among others.

My own personal favourites are Bowers & Wilkins.

Marshall (the same lot who made the speakers that the Beatles used) made a lovely set of headphones around two years ago, and they were quite reasonably priced and are well regarded.

Marshall I'm very familiar with. I used to build amplifiers for a living many years ago!

I got the Jaybird x3's. These are my first earbud bluetooth headphones. I have Sony BaseBoost headphones for home use and the Jaybird x3's will be for the gym. My Bose Sound Sport wired lasted me 2+ years of heavy use, but unfortunately the wire being bent and twisted all the time from taking my phone in and out my pocket did it in (so losing the headphone jack in the newer iPhones won't be an issue from now on).

As for the Jaybird x3's, they are amazing. I was just going to stick to the new Bose and get their new Sound Sport wireless ones, but the reviews didn't seem all that great. Jaybird x3 got rave reviews so I took a chance (and saved money vs Bose and Beats).

The Jaybirds come with the wing tips plus 3 different sizes of foam tips and the rubber tips. Jaybird also has an app to alter the sound to whatever type of music you are listening to (for example, there is a bass mode where the lows are more emphasized if you are listening to rap). Siri is supported by a 2 second press on of the the buttons on the volume rocker.

Most importantly, they stay snug in my ear. Early versions of ear buds were a nightmare for me, but I guess design has come very far these days. The sound is superb (for me, but audiophiles probably think otherwise) but again this is for exercise and for trips to the slopes, not editing for a major music company.

If you are looking for a great pair of bluetooth earbud headphones I highly recommend these. (Photo is not mine):

Was subconsciously proud of my self that I didn't give apple any money in 2016. Then I got a 7+ two weeks ago, then I got a overpriced case for it. Then I kinda liked iOS again so I got a iPad pro, then I got a overpriced case, the apple pencil, and the smart cover for it.

Then while I'm going bankrupt over here, might as well throw in a pair of airpods.

Hope they don't come out with anything cool this year

Ordered a Scarlet Solo from Focusrite so that I can run my guitar through my MacBook whilst I'm lounging on the couch, instead of sitting at my desk behind my Mac Pro.
