Pre Black Friday and way early Christmas for my daughter.

How is the upgrade from the S0? I have been thinking about upgrading to the S3 from my S0, I'm curious is the speed is noticeable.

Thanks.

I am loving it so far. The speed is definitely noticeable and battery life was a big upgrade.

Skyrim PSVR bundle at "Black Friday" price (around US$230). Unlike the US bundle this one doesn't include the Move controllers, but it's still a good deal and hopefully it lives up to expectations.

It's a Christmas present for myself, so the tricky part is waiting until then!

Just showed up in the mail, been wanting these way too long and couldn't just get them in a store since they never stock this one. Silver/Transparent New Wayfarer Color Mix. Ordered them on Monday for $165 thinking they would never go on sale (like Apple stuff more or less) and sure enough today they went on sale for $115 so I called them and got a credit back to boot:

Where did you order those from? Love my Wayfarers, but time is fast approaching for new colour/lenses...

Thought I’d buy a pair after trying out my bro’s. I was highly impressed.

I picked up these at one eighth the cost of AirPods, so if they're even one eighth the quality… I'll be getting roughly the same value, right?! Haha, that's not, like, my opinion or anything; that's just math! Right? Hahaha! Ha.

AirPods look so cool…

Nothing that sexy, but very usable

2 more of these to my NAS on BlackFriday price.

Picked up a 2nd Gen Echo and Echo Dot to add to our current Echo Dot already in the house. Also bought a Sonos Play:1 to pair with one of the Dots. Went back and forth with between the Sonos One and Play:1 but decided on the stand-alone Sonos if we stopped using Alexa.

Do you find Alexa worth it? Hows the sound? I heard when they first came out the sound was awful but a few software updates managed to fix that.

I decided to purchase the Lego Ferris Wheel for myself in order to have something to due over the Thanksgiving Weekend. Yes I know I am probably too old at 53 for lego, but Lego said it was a Expert Challenge for people 16 and up. Besides I don't care, for I will always be a kid at heart. ;)

I found it a challenge, but it was a little repetitive. However, that was probably a good thing for me at my age. LOL I also found the instructions a little confusing at times, for at one point I thought I was missing some parts though it turned out that I just misread the first step in the instructions. My advice of anyone who might want to build this or any other Lego Creative Set is to sort you parts first, for that will save you time and avoid searching for them as you build. You should also read the instructions, but that is just common sense I suppose.

So far, I think it's worth it. We have Hue lights around the house which we have connected to Alexa and have an Abode security system, which can be armed/disarmed through Alexa. We also use it for timers when cooking and random one off questions, news and weather. Alexa could still use work, but so far we've found it useful and it seems like Amazon keeps adding features and improving Alexa.

As for the sound of the 2nd gen Echo, its sounded good so far. We had Christmas music and jazz music playing and don't have any complaints. As soon as I connected the Echo, it ran through an update, which I think is what you're referring to, which I read about as well. The Sonos arrives tomorrow so I'll be curious to see how they compare.

finally got around to getting my great grandmothers oil hurricane lamp working. Just needed to clean up the wick adjuster, and get some wick material for it. Not sure where we will put it at the moment, in a house with a dog, a cat, and a crawling baby..... Might have to stay in my off-limits office.
